God gave us snakes to keep the population of rats and mice down so there is food for us to eat. As long as the snakes are not poisonous we turn them loose where they don't tangle with the dogs. The Old Testament viper was Satan in disguise. Regular snakes are there by God's design and serve us well.

I understand. But it sure would have been nice if He didn't create rats and mice and He wouldn't have had to go to all that trouble to create snakes.
