You don't have to speak English to serve on a jury... Court rules
SANTA FE, N.M. The New Mexico Supreme Court is cautioning trial courts and lawyers that citizens who dont speak English have the right to serve on juries.

So now we have to have an interpreter in the courtroom and in the deliberation room as well. How do we know everybody is hearing the same story. How also do we know if the juror says one thing and the interpreter says something different to the others. This seems like a good chance for a major screw up here. Good luck there Padro both sides might actually here the same story.

I sure wouldn't want some one on my case that speak or understand English
Good Lord! What next? Maybe, if you're an islamist, you get an all-islamist jury? Why can't these so-called judges go by the constitution? WE DON"T HAVE TO BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO ACCOMODATE PEOPLE WHO WON'T LEARN OUR LANGUAGE!! PERIOD!!

All we have to do is what Missouri did and that is enact a law that English is the language here in the United States and we will only print in one language. If you can't read or write in English to bad. If everything were in English and we were to adopt it as our only language they would either have to learn it or go home. That means that filling out any and all forms will be done in English and we won't provide an interpreter either if you don't understand to bad.

You got it big buddy. I know I am a r****t and a homophobe and every other vile thing that the politically correct want to throw at me. I have had it to here bending over backward for every damn little thing and they think they are helping. If you kept doing everything for your child it would grow up to be a 200 pound baby with as much ability to do anything as a 2 yr. old.

All part of the liberal master plan. M**************m does not work and they know it. Learn English or leave!! Different languages require you to establish different communities. In that scenario you do not develop national or local p***e. Creates division. Everybody needs to serve in the military, when we had the draft we had a lot more patriotism and p***e in the good old USA.

Here in Arizona you do not need to be a US citizen to be a corrections officer. As a matter of fact, you do not need to live in the US. My opinion, this leaves them open to launder money and there is nothing the US/Arizona can do about it.
the most ridiculous thing I ever heard,,,,well , one of em anyway......
In a speech by Theodore Roosevelt in 1916 (to the National Americanization Committee at the Astor Court Building) part of his remarks included the following:
"Let us say to the immigrant not that we hope he will learn English, but that he has got to learn it. Let the immigrant who does not learn it go back. He has got to consider the interest of the United States or he should not stay here. He must be made to see that his opportunities in this country depend upon his knowing English and observing American Standards. The employer cannot be permitted to regard him only as an industrial asset."
Other remarks he made, as a Governor, President, and private citizen, regarding immigrants "assimilating" to the U.S. may be read at the site below:
http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/troosevelt.aspI happen to agree with his views regarding immigration to this country. His remarks from 1907 are especially appropriate to the problems we see in the U.S. today regarding "m**************m".
This is one way to destroy a country and that is what the DEMONCRATS want

Only in liberal America can things this weird be happening. This almost sounds like an Eric Holder plan. I could even be convinced that OIllegal was part of it and it wouldn't tale to much imagination either.
