Protesters gathered under the controversial Confederate f**g at South Carolina's state legislature, demanding it be taken down in response to the Charleston church massacre.
Waving placards, chanting "take it down" and singing "We Shall Overcome," the youthful crowd, black and white, condemned the Civil War saltire as a symbol of lingering r****t sentiment in the American South.
"We can no longer afford to let that flat stand there" and be a beacon for those who harbor "bad opinions," said one of the speakers, 95-year-old lawyer and activist Sarah Leverette, prompting loud cheers.
Organizers called the event a "warm-up" for what they hope will be an even bigger anti-f**g protest, also in front of the colonaded State House, on the Fourth of July holiday. (AFP)

Like it or not, the Confederate Battle F**g has nothing to do with the church massacre.
Like it or not, s***ery was one of the minor causes of the Civil War. When Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, he only "freed" the s***es in the South. It has been conveniently forgotten that s***ery was legal in four Northern States, and remained legal until almost a year after the end of the war. If the war was about s***ery, why was it tolerated in four Northern States? I have mentioned this before. Ulysses Grant, Commander of the Union Armies, was married to a s***e owner, who kept her s***es until the end of the war. General Sherman, who burned Atlanta and was responsible for the "March to the Sea" favored the continuance of s***ery, but not at the expense of the dissolution of the Union.
I digress. The shooter, like so many other mass murderers, took psychotropic drugs. He had enough wits about him to make sure he picked unarmed victims, another common thread among mass murderers. These are not random acts. Most are planned to take place where it is unlikely anyone will shoot back.
Pro-wetback pundits like to say there is no way to get rid of 11 million i******s, do you think getting rid of 200 million guns is doable? The solution is less gun free zones. In the past 20 years, the US population has increased by 40 million, there have been 11 million plus concealed carry permits issued, and only half as many murders are being committed. With the exception of a couple of years, there has been a decline in the number of murders every year for 20 years. Where is the bloodbath the Liberals predicted?
The flying of a f**g many find offensive has nothing to do with the Charleston shooting. It's removal will have no effect on any future shootings.

What would be a more fitting set of circumstances than this punk terrorist before he is put down, and his handlers realizing that instead of inciting the race war he wanted the results of his h**e were to have the confederate f**g removed, and permanently banned from state property?

The confederate f**g is a symbol this knucklehead holds dear, it is in many of his Facebook images. It would be fitting if his horrible actions led to its elimination from public property and that he learned about this before he is executed. As far as the f**g, it is the battle f**g of a defeated enemy of the United States, any true patriot takes great offense at its presence.

A majority of the perpetrators of mass shootings took them. Not all, but more than half. That is an anamoly that has to be considered. I never said these drugs were the sole reason, but they do appear to play a role.

He does???? Patriots take offense at what??

You lefties already settled that topic when you allowed the Mexican F**g to be flown above the US f**g in California,,,,

Why do you change your mind, when Mexico is also a defeated enemy of the US???

Why the dichotomy of h**e?

Also, I thought you reprobates thought it fine to burn the american f**g and display "piss christ" and burn Sarah Palin in effigy,....

We thinking people are sooooo confused,,, maybe your big brain can make sense of the apparent dichotomies of thought, action, and sentiment...

Hmmm. That might be a valid point except that Mexico did not hold onto that f**g for a century and then pull it back out to use in intimidation while a segment of the US was working toward increased e******y, did they?
Thinking people usually have an understanding of the difference between use by the state and freedom of expression by individuals.
If individuals want to go public with their t*****r worship on their own private property they have that right.
As Clarence Thomas just made clear there is a different between states' speech and individual's speech.

http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/pancho-villa-attacks-columbus-new-mexico

And of course,,, the "Reconquista" movement you apparently,,, and obliviously overlooked...

Or,,, whether people in rentals/hoa's can be told they cannot fly f**gs at all...

"Thinking people" hmmm..... do you actually contend that you are one of "us?" It sure doesnt show,,, in what you write.

What evidence is there in the nonsensical garbage you just wrote?

Perhaps you are so dense as to have forgotten the "last time" you i***ts decided to tell SC what they could or couldnt do???

yeah,,,, thats what the war was actually about,,, b****s are what the northerners through in there to justify the murder of southern civilians,, when lincoln determined he was losing the war....

Nothing new though he also ok'ed the largest mass h*****g of my people too.....

You must have me confused with a righty. YouTube is not my method of getting a point across, I cannot even hear the videos.
