Radical liberalism assaults the foundations of civilized freedom.

The Liberal Mind is an in-depth examination of the major political madness of our time: the radical left’s efforts to regulate the people from cradle to grave.

To rescue us from our troubled lives, the liberal agenda recommends denial of personal responsibility, encourages self-pity and other-pity, fosters government dependency, promotes sexual indulgence, rationalizes violence, excuses financial obligation, justifies theft, ignores rudeness, prescribes complaining and blaming, denigrates marriage and the family, legalizes all a******n, defies religious and social tradition, declares ine******y unjust, and rebels against the duties of citizenship.

Through multiple entitlements to unearned goods, services and social status, the liberal politician promises to ensure everyone’s material welfare, provide for everyone’s healthcare, protect everyone’s self-esteem, correct everyone’s social and political disadvantage, educate every citizen, and eliminate all class distinctions.

Radical liberalism thus assaults the foundations of civilized freedom. Given its irrational goals, coercive methods and historical failures, and given its perverse effects on character development, there can be no question of the radical agenda's madness.

Only an irrational agenda would advocate a systematic destruction of the foundations on which ordered liberty depends.

Only an irrational man would want the state to run his life for him rather than create secure conditions in which he can run his own life.

Only an irrational agenda would deliberately undermine the citizen’s growth to competence by having the state adopt him.

Only irrational thinking would trade individual liberty for government coercion, sacrificing the p***e of self-reliance for welfare dependency.

Only a madman would look at a community of free people cooperating by choice and see a society of victims exploited by villains.

The good news for radical liberals is - radical conservatism is just as destructive. For some reason, we are a country of extremes, meaning, we think that if a little of a thing is good - a lot of that thing must be better.

We went from institutionalized s***ery, to institutionalized victimhood, where everybody is a victim - of something or someone. We have more law suits daily, than most civilized countries do in a month. Why?, because no one is responsible for the bad stuff that happens to them, someone else is ALWAYS at fault - and must pay.

Lets arm our police to the teeth - and force them to be vewy vewy caweful, so as to not infringe on a criminals civil rights - then whine that criminals have more rights than the average law abiding citizen.

Lets let big businesses do wh**ever the hell they want, because they are the "job creators" - then whine that there aren't any jobs, they make too much money and we can't afford their stuff.

See the dichotomy of American society? We get an idea that sounds good, like equal rights for all citizens, then go hog wild, without much thought - until we wind up with something that does NOT, in any way - resemble the original good idea. We can't help ourselves, because we are addicted to excess. More and more rights for more and more separate segments of society - until nobody has any rights left at all.

What's the answer to radical liberalism? It sure as hell isn't an extreme in the other direction. How about a middle of the road approach? A STRICT reading of the Constitution? ( as opposed to the "who has the majority and their thoughts on it" method we use today ) How about, the Federal Gov. uses Federal money for Federal stuff - and the States pay for their own sh*t and retain control over it?

Someone needs to stop the damn pendulum from swinging, that way, maybe we can get some sanity back - and let the extremes on both ends die a natural death.
