The NRA Second Amendment Rights Gun Kooks are at it again. If only the Church Members were armed this tragedy wouldn't have happened! The Obama Administration and Liberals want to take our guns! Gun Rights are sacred! They are sanctioned by Jesus himself (The 11TH Commandment) Thou Shall Worship Thy Gun For Salvation. Blah Blah Blah Blather! If you have to take a Gun into the House of God please don't come! The K**ler’s Gun

Reuters talked to the shooter’s uncle, Carson Cowles. Cowles stated that Roof was given a .45-caliber pistol by his father in April as a birthday present. This is one month after Roof was arrested in March on drug charges. It is not known at this time if Roof’s father was aware of the drug charges, or if he knew that the charges clearly made his son a “prohibited person” according to ATF From 4473, question 11.e., which disqualifies “unlawful users” of controlled substances from owning firearms.

Gun control supporters will no doubt attempt to assert that so-called “universal” background checks would have prevented the t***sfer. Rational people know that such a claim isn’t remotely grounded in reality, and that background checks are routinely ignored in t***sfers between family members, even in states where they are already required.

The specific brand and model of the pistol is no doubt known to law enforcement at this time, but that information has not yet been released to the media.

We are told from eyewitness accounts that Roof reloaded five times. There you have it? http://mediamatters.org/blog/2015/06/18/fox-amp-friends-exploits-south-carolina-church/204046

Hannity interviewed a pastor yesterday (on radio); the pastor (whose name I did not catch) stated that he brings 5-6 members of his congregation to a gun range, weekly, to train and to obtain their Concealed Carry Permits. He then went on to say that he can identify at least six people who are 'carrying' during each of his services--that the Charleston scenario would have been 'nipped in the bud' by one of his people.

You may decry the fact that an unbalanced loser can obtain a gun. It's going to happen again because guns will always--banned or not--be available. And, when a man with a gun starts shooting innocents, only another man with a gun can counter the shooter.

That's a sad fact that the Left cannot and will not swallow; instead, they wring their hands and create even more "Gun-Free Zones."

Do we know that some church members weren't carrying guns? You forget that for a gun to be of use you have to be in the right place to use it and not be too rattled to shoot. There are a lot of ifs there for a gun to be effective...

Hannity? You just lost all credibility by mentioning this FOX dud's name. There are no Guns in the House of God but In the House of Satan there are plenty of them. As a matter of fact the Bible is banned also.

So, people that believe in, subscribe to, adhere to and abide by the Bill of Rights are kooks? Yes, this kid picked the church as a target because he assumed there wouldn't be anyone armed. Duh!!! He didn't walk down the middle of the hood firing at random. He'd probably been shot first if his Casper looking ass showed up in the hood...or at the very least, he'd have been jumped and had the s**t kicked out of him. Common knowledge based on historical and empirical evidence tells us that.

The NRA has nothing to do with this tragedy. The shooter and his dumbass parents have EVERYTHING to do with it.

Obama clearly inserted gun control overtones in his statement yesterday by alluding to the shooter by saying, "...innocent people were k**led in part because someone who wanted to inflict harm had no trouble getting their hands on a gun."

Yeah, it happens in the hood every night and 10 fold on the weekends, but nobody says anything about that. "Black L***s M****r" only when a white k**ls a black. "Black Lives Don't Appear To Matter" when it's black on black, which is the overwhelming majority of occurrences statistically speaking. No Al and Jesse, No Obama speech, No TV cameras, No marches, No r**ts, No prayer circles, no candlelight vigils, NOTHING!!! And don't get me started on black on white, because that stat is 3X the reverse, but who cares?

Logical thinking dictates that, unless we come up with the technology in the movie "Minority Report" and establish yet another ill-conceived branch of government called "the Thought Police", the manufacturers and sellers of guns do not know the intent of the purchaser, no more than the manufacturer and seller of automobiles know the same, and have a much higher statistical death rate involvement than guns. The list goes on and on.

I suppose I could've just made this simple and called you a complete moron, but that would make me the h**er and you the victim once again.

I'll have you know that in the church I used to attend, several members were always carrying, including me. Why? Because people with intent to k**l most always choose "gun-free zones". That was the case for the shooter in Colorado at the movie theater. He passed up several theaters closer to his apartment for the one that had a gun free sign posted. He may've been crazy, but he wasn't stupid.

The way us conceal carry people think is simply, "Better to have it and not need it than the reverse". I don't frequent gun free zones very often for that reason.

You take away people's right to own guns and make the entire country a "gun free zone" and you'll see more gun deaths than you could ever imagine. There are hundreds of millions of guns in circulation. You'll never get rid of them. The black market will guarantee it. Hence, only law breakers will have guns....which means that no one is safe.

Right, Peter, and it seems obvious to me that a larger number of CC guns, equally spaced would be more effective than none or one. One gun in the hands of a lunatic almost completely assures that someone will be k**led if there is no "friendly gun" to stop him. It seems so illogical that the left cannot see this but they keep coming down on the other side after every one of these incidents. Gun free zones assure that the probability of stopping a crazed person goes down drastically. Watch the gun-control nuts go crazy.

So I guess you are saying that you prefer YOUR churches to be unarmed and open for the slaughter by a nutjob as opposed to having someone ready to prevent the slaughtering of their church members.
When Christian persecution ramps up you may change your tune.

When good men stand by and do nothing, evil prevails!

I wonder how long this list would be if you added the last 5 years to it.
