Nope. It wasn't my resolution. I just get tired of some people mouthing off on subjects they know nothing about, and never offer a constructive solution. I get tired of people thinking they have all the answers when it's obvious they don't understand the questions. Yet, they're full of insults and demeanness toward those who are trying to discuss important issues.

The 'wrong-minded-political-right' in this country have been told it's okay to insult their political opponents; that it's okay to assassinate the character of those of differing political opinions. I'm tired of hearing the lies about the government doing this and that to take away our rights when it's obvious to anyone with eyes and ears that it's not happening. I'm tired of "compromise" being a 'dirty word.' I'm tired of 'big business' having so much influence in our government and getting laws passed that favor the 'fat-cats' and screw everybody else. I'm tired of the 'fear-mongers' that try to make us afraid of outsiders. I'm tired of our 'right-wing' politicians wrapping themselves up in the flag and hold up a Bible and declare that only they and their followers are the "true Patriots" and the "true Christians."

I'm tired of never-ending election cycles. I'm tired of our never-ending wars. I'm tired of being told that a fully armed populace is the ONLY way to end gun violence. (I don't care if you and your 5 buddies, each, have a rifle strapped across your chests and 3 handguns strapped to your waists and thighs, and 1000 rounds of ammo for each weapon. If I approach you with my gun already drawn, you're dead.) I'm tired of the NRA deciding who our elected officials are.

I'm tired of people not having access to health care in my state (TN), while our part-time state legislators and their families enjoy the fruits of being covered 100%. I'm tired of the party of smaller government sticking it's nose into private matters such as who someone can marry and controlling how, when and where a woman can control her own health and reproductive issues. I'm tried of this same smaller government telling cities and counties what they can and can't do in terms on running their own school systems or when they can repair streets and sewers and bridges.

I'm tired of all the hypocrisy I see and hear about coming from our religious institutions. I'm tired of private schools (many of them religious in basis) being given tax dollars to operate. I'm tired of states rewriting history to fit old political and religious ideologies.

I'm tired of people who either can't, or simply choose not to, think about what they put into words. Instead, all they do is parrot the talking points of those who have convinced the lesser-brained people that something or someone is to blame for their lot in life; when, all the while, it's the person being parroted that's the real culprit.

I'm tired of "Christians" talking and acting and threatening to do the very same kinds of actions that ISIS does. I'm tired of hearing about a domestic "war of Christianity." I'm not seeing one. I do see lots of people becoming disheartened by all of the hypocritical talk coming from so many "Christian" leaders. The message of God's love has been hijacked by those who want us to think that the threat is external. It's is and has been an internal threat. It's people seeing and hearing one thing while in practice they see the opposite. If you want to get rich, become an evangelist, especially, a radio or TV evangelist.

Too bad that God wants us to give to the poor and needy, spreading out the wealth. No. We must concentrate it and only give it to those who don't need it. We must no longer be a religion of peace, but a religion that conquers the hearts and souls of non-believers by force of arms; and, while we're at it, we'll force them to accept democracy as their rule of government. Never mind that it's a totally foreign concept.

Okay. I'm done. Not really. I could go on a lot longer. But, I won't. Sorry, I didn't mean to get onto a rant.

Playbook of the right:

1. State logical fallacy
2. Reject any questions with more logical fallacy
3. Resort to Ad Hominem
4. State Circular Reason
5. Walk away...pouting

I'm sorry you live in such a hypocritical state...the irony is that they have convinced people it is the only the way that they can have jobs.

Nope. Don't need no nap or a vacation. Being retired, I'm on a permanent vacation and I can get all the sleep I want.

I am surprised with your petty, little, smart-butt comment. I expected you to have had some more to respond with. What's up? Have you lost communications with your handler? Did you lose your copy of the official conservative-GOPTP-libertarian 'talking points?' Or, maybe, you're too tired to think for yourself and need help in that department. Who knows? I know I don't. And, really, don't want to know. I couldn't care less about what you and your kind think.

I haven't heard very many words of truth or honesty emanating from your mouths since Reagan was president. And, being a registered Republican, myself, I must say that my party left me years ago. The 'Party of Lincoln' can't claim to be for the 'common man' any more. In fact, it's the 'party of the rich and powerful,' now. And, unless you agree to accept their ideology, unconditionally and in total, you're banished from the party. And, if holding office, you're replaced by someone else who doesn't have the gonads to speak independently. Dissension within the GOPTP is totally unacceptable. No deviation from the party platform is allowed. Either you fall in line or you'll be booted from the party.

How the GOPTP operates is in stark parallel to how the Nazis operated. Create and buttress fear against what and who isn't "like us," and intimidate anyone who disagrees with them. Keep repeating the same lies over and over until they become accepted as fact. Create separation within the population wherever and whenever possible. Keep attacking the opposition. Use whatever means is available. Don't be afraid to make up lies and half-truths as long as it benefits the GOPTP. Yep, today's GOPTP has taken pages right out of the Gobbel's NAZI propaganda play-book and uses them to gain support and followers for its minions.

Vernon, if you'd take the time to actually research what and how the GOPTP operates and actually read what they want for our country and how they plan to go about it, you'd be very UN-pleasantly surprised. But, for some strange reason, I really doubt you will do anything that might cause you to find out how much you've been lied to by YOUR political party. I did. Hence my disappointment in what used to be MY party.

If the GOP agreed with anyone about anything, we wouldn't have 16 candidates.

The party for a handful, that tells us serfs what we want to hear....gets votes. Don't dig too much below the surface.

There are a lot of lies told by many and most from government, it's how you cover up indifference and incompetence.

Take the city of Flint, Governor Snyder waited as long as he could to declare a state of emergency because state a local officials said the water was fine, even though local hospitals starting seeing sores all over peoples bodies. It's the very reason I have an I.O. filter for my water. And I have it tested by an old Navy buddy in Connecticut (he's an ELT). He works for the university nuclear lab, where water quality has to be less than .001% TDS to use as primary coolant.

In any event, you're right, lie like a dog or a politician, either one is useless.
