What is it about "Common Core" that gets the Wacko Bird's panties in a wad?

You are 'common' to the 'core'. No, you can't even aspire to be common, being so much lower than that.

I want to see the curriculum. Something that the pushers have not made readily available. The little that did slip out, a new new math in which the addition was almost unintelligible and a giant step backwards it would be soundly rejected. If the rest of it is like that, no sane person would approve of it.

In other words, you don't have a clue.

I am 'clued' in enough to know it would be very detrimental to the country. The students would be taught only what the government wanted them to know, or not know. Sorta' like Germany in the 30's, China and the old USSR.

Like I stated, no clue. You only know (clued) what some Wacko told you. :| :| :| :|

Unlike you, I don't require someone to instruct me in what to think or say; I am quite capable of deciding for myself what is true, or not true, after performing my own research into said subject matter.

Common Core (CC) is a federal takeover of education, and is unconstitutional. There is a longstanding federal law that forbids the federal government "to mandate, direct or control school's curriculum, program of instruction, or allocation of state or local resources"

CC will require some states who have advanced standards to lower their standards. Sandra Stotsky, a professor at the University of Arkansas, who served on the committee to validate CC standards SAID, "the standards dumb American education down by two grades worth"

CC uses Race to the Top Grants, which violate the privacy of their students by "data-mining". Information collected is more than just test scores and academic progress. CC will TRACK information on religious practices, political beliefs, "sex behaviors and attitudes", and more. This information will follow them the rest of their lives.

CC will cost taxpayers a lot of money while not improving education quality. Washington State estimates their costs will be $300 million, California, $759 million

These are just a few of the reasons people who have bothered to investigate this failed system don't like it. The question is- why do liberals always want to implement high priced policies that have already failed under different names.

Common Core (CC) is a federal takeover of educatio... (show quote)

"Common Core (CC) is a federal takeover of education, and is unconstitutional" I stopped reading right there. Who determined it is unconstitutional?

Then be specific and show me, as of now I see nothing wrong with setting common goals.

You are incapable of being 'shown' anything that differs from the indoctrination classes sponsored by your propaganda ministers.

Here you go, bobby. Took all of two minutes to find with one half of my brain tied behind my back to make it fair. Understand that this is "The Party Line." Actual implementation has become so cumbersome & convolute that almost no one can use it. But, we're stuck with it anyway.
