Diane told us a long time ago about a Pekingese breeder, a really huge woman, much like the one in the photo, who actually sat on a Peke at a dog show, and broke its ribcage and k**led it. Had not remembered the story until you posted this, but in the case of the Pekingese it was not a joke, it was a real dog.
