Sorry, I have been a real a**hole at times; looking to change

How? I am getting the hint that all the nincompoops, h**ers, trolls, and lock-steppers I have attacked and detested may not be what they appear to be. I still doubt that yet a few of my estimations (prejudices) were recently confounded. That really threw me.

I am not ready to apologize to anyone for what I said to them. However, there is more than just cause for a re-evaluation of these, er, people and my attitude toward them. Results have not yet been tabulated.

With reference to your thread title, your "looking to change" obviously did not take effect by 3:45AM today.

I like the way you talk. I like the way you defend your self and your positions. Appologies to some folks may be fine but some may not be ready or deservant. You are just fine by me.

You are right. All she is looking for is another way to insult those who do not repeat the montra of the "progressives"

Why is progress a bad thing?

fiatlux, some but not all, will take "looking to change"to mean you yourself have turn a new page, others could careless about their attitudes towards you, because they are always right. We haven't had nastiness toward each other, I do believe, I won't cross you if you don't cross me, re-evaluate all you want. Some things will never change.

progress per se is not a bad thing at all. however, as the term is used in the political sense it has come to mean collectivist Marxist socialist. don't forget that during the 1930 to the 1950's the American c*******t Party used "progressive" to hide the fact that their goal was a collectivist c*******t dictatorship. that is the way the left wing of the Democrat party still uses it. Perhaps you think that "progressive" collectivist government is a great idea, but I do not. But the, I believe in e******y of opportunity not e******y of outcome.

Progress isn't. It is 'Progressivism', as practiced today, that is inherently evil.

There are things like wealth ine******y caused by steadily riseing prices and stagnant wages. Would it not be progress to address this problem? I am not saying give handouts I am saying what can be done to make things better for most of the workers in America? I don't have the answer or I would not ask the question.

Dear lady I mean that because you are a lady. My story is when I got on OPP I was immediately identified as a left leaning person. Insults like you would never have heard came my way. I looked at threads and saw some of the filthiest words I have ever seen written being used on one poster or more This came from both sides but mostly from the side that calls themselves "conservatives." Well I thought that was the way to be and I jumped into the fray with the rottenest comments I could think of. I got a stern warning from admin and decided to cool my jets way down. I posted a thread called "Trying to be nice to other posters" you might look it up if you want. I was easily led into the game of trying to outdo the insulters but I did learn to take the high road. You are very nice compared to what I once was. Don't let the rightys get to you. A lot of them want you to lose it. I have seen rightys and leftys lose it until they were banned from OPP. I am sure there was celebration somewhere because of it. This forum is better with you on it. Be not Discouraged Brave soul. ;) ;)

If all the i*****l w****rs would be dismissed and the jobs taken back by legal immigrants and citizens, wages would rise.

There has always been 'wealth ine******y' and always will be. Business owners, regardless of size of a business, have always made more than employee's, as they should. They are the ones investing their own capital to start and maintain a business. Do you not make more than your employee's?

Can't say you are not right. I earn considerably more than my workers. but I have considerably heavier monetary obligations. I consider myself fortunate to have the sk**ls and brain power that I do. I would be on social security. At age 31 I was sent a letter from social security and told to fill it out and I would be on disability. I have had 4 knee surgurys Shoulder surgery for an atrophied left arm I have broke my back twice and my neck once. I am a sk**led man with a lot of heart. I refused disability and I work harder than guys half my age, I am 61 and I defy any man to keep up with me. When the going gets tough the tough get going. My wrestling coach drilled that into my head. I believe he right to this day.

I don't know when I will get to the west coast again...or, that far north. But, I would surely enjoy meeting you, Tom. Until that unlikelihood, I will be content to read and enjoy your posts. You are a reasonable and tempered man and have always appeared as such to me. It would be my pleasure to make your personal acquaintance :!: Besides, I like your musical se******ns.
