My father and grandfatehr were in the Navy.

A great great grandfather was imprisoned in Andersonville.

Which family members of yours were involved?

Sage, when replying to someone please use the 'quote reply' so we will know to whom you are directing your response. We all have made that error at first.

I have lost count of the number of ancestors I had in the American Revolution. And at last count at least 5 were in Lee’s t*****r army. One of my great-grandfathers was buried with military rites according to his obit; I have his World War I draft registration card, but the war ended before he could be drafted, but he was age enough to have served in the war with Spain. Another great-grandfather did serve in World War I and was wounded in the leg which likely lead to a blood clot that likely caused the heart attack that k**led him in the early 1950s. One grandfather was a paratrooper under MacArthur in New Guinea and the Philippines. A great uncle landed on D-Day. And one of my uncles was a sniper in Nam.

Someone says their grandma accepted illegal gifts during wartime from her boss because the boss wanted her to look nice. It doesn’t take much to put 2 and 2 together. The implication is that grandma was sleeping around with her boss, and that made her what I said she was.

Perhaps your grandmother was sleeping around so you believe all grandmothers do/did it. What a wuss. Hahahaha

Since you seem to have a family history that has served in the Armed Forces, why have you not served?
Or are you 'just k*****g time' before enlisting? Or perhaps they just don't want your kind.
I wasn't aware there were para's on either New Guinea or in the Philippines. Please elucidate.

I have studied history for as long as I have known how to read (well over 35 years now). My biology degree comes with 40 credit hours in history including a course on World War II. I have seen no documentation to suggest people were able to evade the ration laws because they had money. If anyone had used their wealth in this manner, they would have made themselves social outcasts even if they hadn’t been legally prosecuted. World War II was a much different day and age from modern America.

Talking to my advanced age relatives - bartering and black market were rampant - but in this Southern region they helped each other the best they could. They had an old adage " The people down here didn't know they were poor until the government told them!

You obviously are not paying attention. The book I am reading is not a novel, and an intelligent person would have known this from the title.

And for your information, b***h, 40 credit hours in history is enough for a bachelor’s degree in history. The only reason I don’t have a history degree is because I was not allowed 2 academic advisors due to faculty shortages. I was not told about extracurricular writing requirements for the history degree until it was too late to meet them.

He doesn't even know what it means, it isn't in his dictionary, if he even knows how to utilize or use one.
All he knows are vulgarities and swear words. For that, all he requires is living on the streets with the rest of the trash.
