Real bears or imagined ones, won't k**l you if you k**l them first, or scare them off.

As for BearK, she'll preach the Word for your good life.

Guys; get off the "Blue Helmet" thing. It strikes one as paranoia. There are NO UN troops coming to the US to take over.

The whole "jade helm" thing is silly. Do you think for a moment that the US military would permit the intrusion of foreign troops in any operative mode?

We have foreign troops in this country for training all the time, but not for operations. We have Mexican soldiers coming across the border to buy pop in the Big Bend area, but our real concern is the Mexican drug cartels--not the UN.

Great White Sharks-- There are a lot of them on the west coast. I saw one once.--Came up in front of the 26 foot Owens cruiser I was driving. It was darn near as long as our boat and about 6 feet wide. We stacked our gear and got outa there.

I can deal with snakes and even a mountain lion (well, not freak, any way), but a shark??!!?? I lived in Hawaii, no shortage of sharks there. I kayaked in the Florida Keys, alone, but now....I can't even bring myself to wade beyond mid-calf in the ocean, my fear of sharks just about off the Richter Scale!! If I had seen the monster you described, I would surely have been wishing to be beamed 'somewhere'.

Several years back I was with my brother in a place called Plum Valley. Three mountain Lions walked across the road in front of us. They were huge belly d**ggers. We drove up to where they were and I got out and looked at them. They turned and sauntered up the hill. I followed and they stopped again as I got closer. We looked at each other for a while and they turned and sauntered off. I kept following getting closer, I was within 100 feet of them and my brother started panicking and yelling at me to come back. The lions and I looked at each other one last time and I walked down the hill while they continued strolling up the hill. TRUE story.

Apparently they already had their 'lunch.' I thought mountain lions were 'loners,' not accustomed to being with their own.

I think it was a mother with two older cubs. We were in an area with a lot of deer and cattle so the were very well fed. The lions I have seen on the coast are small and skittish by comparison.
