The last time I bet on a horse race (many years ago) the sob tripped and fell right out of the starting gate. That soured my interest in horse races. :hunf:

Unfortunately, the only gambling money I manage to throw away is on the California Lottery. At least I am not at the point that my $2 d**gs me down too much! :)

Paul, the $2.00 is for the Power Ball. The Calif. Lottery is only $1.00. I know as I purchased one of each today for the first time since the 90's. If I win either one I will come to 'Frisco and treat both you and your partner to dinner. OK?

    I gave up on the lotto here too. Every once in awhile I would win $5 or a free ticket. The most I ever won was $90. Everything I won went back into lotto to no avail. :(

The most I ever won at one time was $1818 dollars, but like you, I quit after that. On orders from my Colonel, also known by others as my wife. LOL

LOL!! I bet 10 bucks on a horse many years ago that wrecked just before the finish line, and had to be put down on the spot. I took it as a sign.......

We have a couple near where I live but I just don't gamble. Back in the days when I was doing a lot of international travel I indulged myself by visiting a few casinos. I had a $50 limit. Once that was gone I was out of there. Occasionally I came out with a little more than I went in with but that didn't happen very often.

My BFF and her family, with another family, annually rented a house on the NJ Shore. One night, during each stay, they would go the a casino. She always won sufficient funds to pay for her family's portion of the house rent, groceries, etc. Basically, they had a free vacation. It was the only time she ever gambled.

Some people are lucky when it comes to gambling. Unfortunately, I am not one. :(

She only gambled once a year. Perhaps the phrase, "Don't push your luck..." was applicable.

UncleE use to travel to Las Vegas, for client meetings, once per quarter. He set aside $100 for the casino. He always doubled it. Being a very smart man, he left as soon as he had $200.
