Are you bats?! It was not the senior citizen with this guaranteed income that helped keep the economy alive!!! It was businesses who provided needed goods and services and who hired people who were willing to work at scut jobs for less pay rather than succumb to the welfare route. It was people helping people. All of that is based on YOUR assumption that the economy is alive. It is on faux life, at best and will fall as soon as our government can borrow no more money.
SS IS a ponzi scheme. It became such when your elected officials raided it, proving to us it is a Ponzi scheme. As long as we have unprincipled officials, we can consider most everything a ponzi scheme because when our money is collected, there is no telling where it may go.......changes are it won't go where we are told it will go.
