Russian Troops are on US Soil, Obama is Caving in to Putin

1645 EmailShare 1645EmailShare
(Max Liberty) – Russian troops are already on US soil! They are occupying US/Alaska Wrangell Island in the Arctic. Putin’s troops are astoundingly getting help from President Obama and Secretary of State Kerry. What kind of foreign aid is this gigantic giveaway?

They used to say “The Russians are coming.” But now they have already gotten here and occupied US soil.

FAX BLAST SPECIAL: Impeach Obama NOW!

The Obama/Kerry State Department is giving away seven strategic, resource-laden Alaskan islands to the Russians. Yes, to the Putin regime in the Kremlin.

The seven endangered islands in the Arctic Ocean and Bering Sea include one the size of Rhode Island and Delaware combined (Wrangell). The Russians also get the tens of thousands of square miles of oil-rich sea beds surrounding the islands. The Department of Interior estimates billions of barrels of oil are at stake.

The State Department has undertaken the giveaway in the guise of a maritime boundary agreement between Alaska and Siberia. Astoundingly, the State Department itself drew the line to put these seven Alaskan islands on the Russian side. But as an executive agreement, it can be reversed with the stroke of a pen by President Obama or Secretary Kerry.

The agreement was negotiated in total secrecy. The state of Alaska was not allowed to participate in the negotiations, Congress was not notified, nor was the public given any opportunity for comment. The Alaska Legislature has passed resolutions of opposition, and so has California’s legislature but the State Department doesn’t seem to care.

The imperiled Arctic Ocean islands include Wrangell, Bennett, Jeannette and Henrietta. Wrangell became American in 1881 with the landing of the U.S. Revenue Marine ship Thomas Corwin. The landing party included the famed naturalist John Muir. It is 3,000 square miles in size.

Northwest of Wrangell are the DeLong Islands, named for George Washington DeLong, the captain of USS Jeannette. Also in 1881, he discovered and claimed these three islands for the United States. He named them for the voyage co-sponsor, New York City newspaper publisher James Gordon Bennett. The ship’s crew received a hero’s welcome back in Washington, and Congress awarded them gold medals.

In the Bering Sea at the far west end of the Aleutian chain are Copper Island, Sea Lion Rock and Sea Otter Rock. They were ceded to the U.S. in Seward’s 1867 treaty with Russia.

Now is the time for the Obama administration to stand up for U.S. and Alaskan rights and invaluable resources. The State Department’s maritime agreement is a loser – it gives us nothing in return for giving up US/Alaska’s sovereign territory and invaluable resources. We won the Cold War and should start acting like it. We can’t be kicked around by Russia’s Putin any more.

The Obama administration must stop the giveaway immediately. No more Russian troops on US soil.

See complete details at www.statedepartmentwatch.org

With these islands the Russians will be able to station inter-Continental missiles much closer to the U.S.A., therefore giving the U.S.A. much less time to respond to any attack. This is absolute treason. Moreover, this should not be able to occur without the approval of the U.S. Senate and perhaps the House, I would have to research the issue.

Quid Pro Quo, viet vet: You've posted a grand total of 8 messages on 1PP and frankly, I don't know who you are or what your personal authority is, but you offer no cite to any authority for your statement that Wrangel Island belongs to the Russian Federation, what ever that presently constitutes. I posted the article as it was assuming the facts to be correct. I have now looked at a number of maps in my Hammond Atlas of the World, and as near as I can tell the international date line divides the U.S. from Russia, and that all of the Aleutian Islands, including Wrangel Island, are located on the American side of the international date line. Moreover, the United States bought Alaska and the Aleutian Islands from Russia. So, it would be reasonable to believe, Wrangel Island presently belongs to the United States, not Russia. So it's not map reading that's needed. Query: How is it do you suspect OIllegal could be in the process of giving 7 Aleutian Islands to the Russians, if they already owned them. Eh? What is your authority for your implied contention that Wrangel Island and the other 6 Aleutian Islands were never sold to the United States by Russia? Please respond. Give me your best shot, but stay substantive, or next time I won't be nearly as kind in my response. This is my posted thread and I would like to keep it substantive.

My feelings are with you, CrazyHorse, as our world has become extremely foreign to us, thanks to the i***ts and usurpers we have put into office - I use the term "we" solely in the generic sense as neither you nor I have contributed to this o*******w of our nation, but we can name dozens of names who HAVE contributed to our nation's destruction.

However, I wouldn't worry about the Russians. As a matter of fact, we may find them preferable to our own government, which I see as our most dangerous enemy. I know I'd as soon have Putin for a President as Obama.

Wrangell was the site of a Soviet prison camp for most of the Cold War. So Russian soldiers have been there for a while. Portions of Siberia are closer to Alaska and the continental US, than Wrangell Island. It is located North of Siberia and West of the Bering Strait.

Captain DeLong was attempting to reach the North Pole. The USS Jeanette was crushed by polar ice, and only eleven crew members survived to return to the USA. The USS Jeanette was a wooden sailing vessel.

Quid Pro Quo, viet vet: Pursuant to your suggestion, I have reviewed wikipedia on Wrangle Island. Here is a small piece of the information. It seems the Americans were first there and first made a landing on Aug. 12, 1881, with the USRC Corwin and claimed Wrangle Island for the United States giving it the name "New Cobumbia". Also in 1881, an American expedition by under Calvin L. Hooper on the USS Rogers landed a party including the naturalist John Muir. 30 years later in 1911 the Russians landed an expedition on the island, and in 1916, 35 years after the American expedition had claimed the island for the United States, the Tsarist government claimed the island for Russia. Now between those two parties, who is it do you think has the greater right to the island? Then in 1921- 1923 a party consisting of a Canadian, 3 Americans, and 2 Eskimos settled on the island. In 1924 the Soviets removed 13 Inuits, one born on the island. I don't know whether or not Wrangle Island was included in the sale of the Aleutian Islands and Alaska to the United States by Russia. In short, whether Russia gave up any claim to the island with that sale. So, you have a valid question, but your conclusion that Russia has always owned the island is at least questionable. But thanks for your post as it prompted the research partially exhibited above, and that benefits the substance of the post.

True, but Corwin and DeLong are not associated with the Wrangel (sp?) Island near Juneau. Assuming the facts presented are for the most part correct, it would need be the one north of Siberia.
