Look where we have managed to come to.

As an old high school teacher it makes me sick to see how the textbooks have bee revised, but knowing that progressives have taken over most printing establishments and want so badly to get our kids off on the "right" foot I have to say that I saw this coming in the early 1980s when looking for something to replace my old American History books with. It is just a bit more terrible than I had ever thought it could become.

Apropos of nothing else:

This is Canada's Top Ten List of America's Stupidity

10) Only in America ... could politicians talk about the greed of the rich
at a $35,000 a plate campaign fund-raising event.

9) Only in America ... could people claim that the government still
discriminates against b***k A******ns when they have a black President, a
black
Attorney General and roughly 20% of the federal workforce is black while
only 14% of the population is black. 40+% of all federal entitlements goes
to
b***k A******ns - 3X the rate that go to w****s, 5X the rate that go to
Hispanics!

8) Only in America ... could they have had the two people most responsible
for our tax code, Timothy Geithner (the head of the Treasury Department)
and Charles Rangel (who once ran the Ways and Means Committee), BOTH turn
out to be tax c***ts who are in favor of higher taxes.

7) Only in America ... can they have terrorists k**l people in the name of
Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be
harmed by the backlash.

6) Only in America ... would they make people who want to legally become
American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of
thousands of dollars for the privilege, while they discuss letting anyone
who
sneaks into the country illegally just 'magically' become American citizens.

5) Only in America ... could the people who believe in balancing the
budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be thought of as
"extremists."

4) Only in America ... could you need to present a driver's license to
cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to v**e.

3) Only in America ... could people demand the government investigate
whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went
up
when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company (Marathon
Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).

2) Only in America ... could the government collect more tax dollars from
the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion
dollars more than it has per year - for total spending of $7-Million PER
MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.

1) Only in America ... could the rich people - who pay 86% of all income
taxes - be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay
any income taxes at all.

I talked to a Naval Commander last evening and he had been stationed at DC for several years. He says he asked all over the city what one's "fair share" is and never learned anything about it. You would think that somebody there would know what that Democrat talking point means.

Oldroy, as a former school teacher, you know that the school book industry is big business. And, unfortunately, it has been taken over by the same evil that controls our, government, our media, and our television industry, just to name a few. So, do you, being a former high school teacher, know how to fight back against this evil?

I really don't know how to fight back against the progressives of today. My subject area was civics and history and I don't know how to fight against them.

Think about this place and all others like it. Progressives everywhere know that when they don't know how to attack a message, they must attack the messenger in hopes that people will have their attention deflected. I am sure we can whip up on them if we continue to fight and don't allow them to deflect from the things we try to talk about.

Tonight my Representative called me and asked one question as an important poll. The question was "Are you registered to v**e" and my loud yes was all he wanted and he hung up and his helper thanked me for taking time. He will come back soon asking me to support the things he stands for and I will certainly do just that. My man is Tim Huelskamp who is at war with the Republican establishment people.

I would venture to say he is in a good war. I only hope he wins. If he does, it is a win for all of us.

I would say, there is a good way to fight back. We need to be involved in our kids, and grandkids lives. Find out what they are being taught in school, then tell them the t***h. Its a start.

Yesterday, I asked my brother-in-law, who is a school board member what the text book their World History teachers use said about religion, and of course his answer was "Nothing". Like most of the others like him he just thinks that a book that contains 36 pages about Islam and 0 pages about Christianity wouldn't be used by their honest teachers. I know I would haul that book to the school board screaming and squealing about what was being used. How many parents will ever know that until somebody shoves that book up their butts? We have seen a severe drop in the desire to make things as they should be and the progs are surely as hell winning.

We have to stop pushing Islamic thinking in high schools but the books are being used and so few know about it.

My friend has a 12 year old daughter in school. When they went to the parent/teacher conferences, and asked what they were teaching their kid, they wouldn't tell them. They would only say "your kid knows". They then turn around and tell the kid to not tell their parents what they were taught. If it smells like rotten fish, then it probably is.

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
Lot of wisdom in the book of Proverbs!

I am sure that has happened in many places. The problem, as I see it, is that parents have to stop accepting answers like that and forcing real replies.

I wonder how many people read my link in this thread. I wanted some discussion of the Prentice-Hall text for World History that has a 36 page chapter about Islam and no chapter, at all, about Christianity or Judaism. I know this nation wasn't founded on beliefs common to Islam and that the other were very important to our foundation, and yet, we have publishers pushing this kind of crap.

I taught World History for many years and always was excited to get to the unit on the world's great religions where I could teach kids about those things, always on an equal footing. The last year I taught that was 1986 and Muslims weren't anything compared to now so I always tried to give Islam on an equal footing with the others. How in hell could I have done that with this text book?

That's what I mean by stating its our job to teach children the t***h. That is, anything contrary to common core, and c-scope.

The words from Proverbs are just what the Spartans said when they took boys from their mothers when it was time to start making them into good little soldiers. Also, some N**is talked the same way. I do remember that kind of words coming from others such as Lenin, etc. Yep, they didn't mean exactly the same thing but they sure meant to train those little kids as good followers.

It is a little difficult for me to believe, especially in Florida, that this textbook could have been approved in the first place let alone be used for 3 years before anyone noticed its claimed lopsided favortism of Islam. Here is another cite:http://creepingsharia.wordpress.com/2013/07/25/florida-islamic-bias-found-in-high-school-history-textbook/

Looked to check out this story but only found it at blogsites.

I have heard that woman talking in other places and she is a large part of why I am so concerned about what is happening to our education. I haven't really tried to find anything more about text books than what I said here but if she is involved in trying to prove it I am willing to go along. When people who have lived in places like Lebanon before the Muslim takeover are talking I want to hear them

Hey, thanks for this link. I won't say anything that could get you in trouble with the real leaners here but you have done the right thing again. That makes twice in two days. Are you maybe changing over?
