Hi Folks, I felt I needed to do some airing. I am Tom Holzhauer US Army Retired and almost fully disabled from the Viet Nam Era. Exposed to Agent Orange and have type two Diabetes. Struggling along with my fellow Americans to live long enough to make a difference. I have six children, five are still living, Fourteen and 1/3 grand children and 6 (I think) great grand children. I am 71 years old and so far its been a great ride. I have owned two successful business's. Business Admin degree graduate 1984 after serving 20+ years in the military. Minored in Personnel mgt and Accounting. The world and of course specifically the United States has changed and changed and keeps evolving every day. Yesterday I spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone with Dish network trying to rectify 2 mistakes and to ship back an item we did not know how to install. There were times I wanted to just pull the phone out of the wall, except I was using my cell. I also was cut off and had to call them back and of course I got a different customer Service agent and yep you guess it, I had to start all over from scratch. Mind you these were English speaking agents. I finally was able to achieve what I had set out to do but what a price. To join Dish the celebrated price is $19.99. Then if you want more than 200 hundred channels to choose from, add money. If you want to add a DVR recording device to be able to record programs when your not home, add money. When you see your monthly bill you will be billed for two months up front so you can double your first thought on payment, and from then on you will automatically know you are one month ahead. Also don't forget to add, City,State, and federal tax which will add another $20 average to your monthly bill. Then there is something called Surcharges, I never could find out what they were for. If you bundle with your phone and internet services, add money. Wow the $19.99 cost has risen to over $400 dollars the first month and $200 every month after that. T***h in Advertising, yuk, there is no such thing. Tom

Thanks, Even tho it has not been easy here in the usa. The folks left behind had a hard time as well. After all they had to make a lot of h**e signs and slogans. It takes all kinds of folks to make things really work well.
Thanks again Tom

Yeah sorry about that, even though it wasn't me. Those people are the same people currently the country that you and I and others on this site vowed to protect. Nothing has really changed, since they still consider us the enemy.

F**e advertising is everywhere no matter where you go. Several years ago, I ordered a combo meal at Hardee's in Calhoun, TN. The meal advertised was for about $7.00. The girl charged me $10.00 total. Although I paid it (I really should not have), I asked what the other amount was for. She answered "A fuel charge". LYIER I paid for my dinner because I did order it and could not be "OK" with myself if I did not pay for it. I then informed her that they just lost a customer and would not ever return. I put my opinion in their suggestion box. As soon as I left, the girl went to the box and removed my card. What they did not know is that I also reported them to the BBB. Now this can be reported on the internet as well. Their ad mentioned that lettuce and pickles are provided (although these items are small) the ad mentioned that they where provided with the meal. But, now, these items cost extra. THE ADS ARE LYING! And, always check your meals after going the pull-thru windows - because what is received is not always what was ordered.

Also, watch out for some things at your dear Walmart. I caught them when they put up a sign for an item, "Now reduced to $5.98". The problem was that just the previous day the same item was for the amount of $3.98. What a reduction! HA I miss the mom and pop stores. At least they were t***hful and much more friendly.
