I am in the process of combing those articles into a link that I am pretty sure will piss almost everybody, but certainly almost everybody in politics.
That may be that in order to stay in politics you need to be a true believer (See Eric Hoffer). But, almost by definition, true believers are stupid --- They may have mensa level IQ's which makes them dangerous, but they are unwilling to learn new stuff from the environment. Oohhhh Viscous name calling. You know ... the rhetorical technique used by a person who has neither facts nor logic to support their position. And if they had either one, they would probably not have the intellect to use them to form a coherent argument. So they adopt the technique of poorly raised 5th graders and just scream insults at each other. So informative.
