Your presumption that atheist haven't studied faith before becoming atheist is a bad assumption.
So, Sorry, an Atheist usually hqas as much authority as any of you regarding anything Biblical
Why do I doubt everything you've said? Lots of ambiguity in there. How many atheists do you actually know, and what percentage of them made all these fantastic studies that ultimately resulted in rejection? If they were tirelessly seeking faith and sincerely wanting it, what turned them off? What discouraged them? Apparently they missed some critical spiritual t***hs. OTH, How many of these atheists you know became believers? One? None? a few? Not too many?
And, the difference between a presumption and an assumption is subtle but telling when used in the same sentence.
When you presume, you suppose something without proof, based on probability. And, to assume is to suppose or believe something without any proof. That said, I did not
presume or
assume anything, rather I based my post solely on the responses of atheists posting on this forum, those that leave no doubt about not only their lack of
Biblical knowledge but their obvious contempt for all things Biblical or Christian. I did not presume or assume some generalization about all atheists.
Do you want the website of an atheist who, over many years, first became an agnostic then a deist then a Christian? This fellow pulls no punches and presents a thoroughly researched Biblical and scientific argument in favor of the Christian faith.
Yes, it can work both ways. I know a couple of hard-core atheists who have never touched a Bible and never will. In fact I have given up even mentioning it to them. And I know personally an agnostic who never touched a Bible until
after she experienced an epiphany. Her conversion was nearly instantaneous. Now she is one of the most dev**ed Christians I know.
There is little doubt that there are Christians who have lost faith or never really attained it, and have fallen from grace, so to speak. And there are atheists who have seen the light.
