Political correctness is not merely an expression of opinion; it is the denial of anyone else holding a differing opinion--or even personally-held moral and religious convictions.

In a letter to Dr. Benjamin Rush, dated September 23, 1800, Thomas Jefferson wrote: “I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.” By any definition that Jefferson could have envisioned, today’s political correctness can only be regarded as “tyranny over the mind of man.” Forget freedom of association, freedom of expression, freedom of speech, or freedom of privacy; political correctness demands that we don’t even have freedom of thought or opinion.

I'm still at a loss to discover who the PC police are, who they report to and what criteria they use to make arrests. How is it that someone else can decide what I may say, or how I may say it - and - how are they letting me know what that is?

I suppose I'm subject to arrest at any time, because I don't know what's PC and what isn't - and I don't care enough to try and find out. I'll take my chances, I think.

You are very wrong. PC is entirely new. You might want to say it is stigmatization on steroids but for the first time, the military has succumbed to it, the government has adopted it and you will get dirty looks from even the little old lady down the street when you say the wrong thing.

Look what happens when some study says black people commit more crimes and that is why disproportionate numbers of b****s are in our prisons.

Watch the Earth tremble when a study discloses that racial groups fall differently on IQ scales. Hell, watch what happens when you suggest that there are different races.

It is group-think gone wild and the punishment for wrong-think is eagerly meted out by your neighbors and relatives who have succumbed to it.

indeed. As long as the left has existed so has the attempted suppression of articulation of opposing individual thought.

'Political correctness' is most accurately defined as 'absolute intolerance'...It is the primary weapon of the left in shutting down the 1st amendment.

C*******t concerns are dancing in delight that they can watch was fall from the burden of unnatural thought. Every person on earth, everywhere but here has critical thought of others.
The future for our people is pretty G.D. bleak thanks to government over reach and our sheltered stupid people.

PC i***ts are forcing a 'dumbing-down' of the population in many ways; take just the stupidity of not being able to say 'he' or she'. How many times will we hear the talking heads- who should know better, being journalists and all- say something as stupid as ' each boy should take their <wh**ever>? See? Because g****r differences are verboten, an individual- "he"- becomes many- "their". Illogical, stupid, and very PC.

Whenever we reduce communication sk**ls, we reduce the ability to effectively convey our thoughts and we become dumber and dumber.

PC beasts like dumb.

I just posted the Current C*******t Goals from "The Naked C*******t" by W. Cleaon Skousen. Look and see how many have been accomplished particularly in the culture wars.
