Maybe. Because no one in their right mind would want to send our boys to go step on more IEDs for another ten years and trillion dollars. If they had their way, Fox News would send in 100,000 troops all carrying lapel cameras they could run images of ISIS and make the case for more troops and spending to keep their ratings up.

If you wish to blame a President for missed opportunities, it will have to be Bush the elder. After his war, the Iraq citizens were encouraged to revolt, they were promised aid and support if they did so..

The revolted, tried to replace Saddam,, They got no support from the US.. Ended up crushed in the bloody style Saddam loved so much..

Uncle Jesse-Delta Force is troops on the ground albeit a smaller number. However, if the Obama supposed 60 country coalition were to provide 5K troops each we would have a force of 300K troops which would be enough to take ISIS out. As it is, the air strikes will continue on for years at high cost and minimal results. Taking out the leaders is obviously the way to go unless we are prepared to take them all out. Jim-the military leaders are obviously correct. However, the USA should participate in providing ground troops only if other countries step up to the plate and do likewise. There is absolutely no reason for us to bear all of the burden. Good Luck America !!!
