Can't think of any I've champion for !

Look at Obamacare is a prime example plus wasteful spending due to no accountability, fraud , bribery are some for starters .

Congress has no desire to do anything to stop any of it !
Gov continues to spend and spend more than it takes in gee I could come up with a lot more !

Where is this Sidwell Friends School ?

Sidwell is a private school where the tuition is $37,500/year. I'd certainly expect a better quality lunch for that price!

Paul, those are entirely different subjects. They aren't relevant to diets mandated by the government.

Of course, but that isn't what Michelle has advocated for the rest of the Countries public schools. Why should her offspring be treated differently?

My understanding of what Michelle is trying to do is get kids in public schools to eat nutritionally better food. Better than the out-sourced fat-laden empty calories they've been served for years. I don't see how anyone could be against that.

Additionally, I don't understand why people seem to be against her kids getting a better quality of that same good nutrition. I thought this was a country where people should be able to buy the quality they can afford. I can't imagine the outcry from the right if government-funded school meals cost the same as the meals served at a private school.

This appears to just be an attack on Michelle. And for trying to get everyone's kids to eat healthily! It makes no sense.

While her intent may be laudatory, in actuality, it sucks.

I think you should truck it all to the White House and dump it on the lawn. Then Federal Marshals should enter said White House, find Michelle and take her out and make her eat it. You could call it operation "Just desserts".

Yep I'd be inclined to think that as well !

When we were growing up we were always out side playing and doing stuff not to mention living on a farm we had chores to do as well so one look at the kids today and they all are setting around playing video games !

Parents now want to be their kids 'friend' it seems to me. I disagree with that completely.
My grandmother told me once, that it wasn't my job to be their friend. My job was to prepare them, and teach them the sk**ls they need to survive on their own.
It wasn't always easy, but it worked. They are doing great!

Well, she thinks she is the queen and believes she has as much power as the king has over their serfs.
