Quid Pro Quo, Pogo: I have a feeling I am going to appreciate reading your posts with a smile. Welcome to 1PP. You will find lots of brain dead liberal lemming drone material to work with.

Big Deal! I advised Odoacer. (According to some of the more "Progressive" pundits here, I apparently advised Nathan Bedford Forrest, and David Duke also). LOL. Jump in when you feel froggy.

Unbeknownst to anyone, but me, you were probably an adviser to the Zimmerman defense team. 8-) :x

Brain dead, liberal, lemming drones benefit from a good tune-up from time to time. I will try not to disappoint...

Banjo, I don't recall seeing you at "The C*****rbox Council," but any friend of Nathan's... I'm a past Camp Adjutant, Sons of Confederate Veterans.

I may not be very popular, as I hold the opinion that Jackson, rather than Lee, was the better commander. This has, more than once, provoked comments better left unprinted. They h**e it when I ask them to name one fight that Stonewall lost.

"There stood Jackson like a stone wall." Lee was a fine man, but many under his command were better commanders, Jackson among them. Perhaps we're related...

I was thinking of the Shenandoah Valley campaign. Pretty impressive. I have family who used to live near there, and have been over part of the ground. To the best of my knowledge, I don't know of any of my family who were in that war. It appears to be the only one we missed, however.

Back in the day I lived in NC and SC, and toured a great many sites, absorbing their history. I'm of the opinion that if Lee had pressed on at First Manassas everyone in the USA would speak with a gentle drawl, and understand the difference between right and wrong. Deo Vindice
