Open for discussion, why are Liberals so into conspiracy theories? Do they not claim to be enlightened and so much smarter than everyone else? So how can they buy into conspiracy theories and defend them tooth and nail?

One Mad cow shows up in Washington state and within hours there is a nationwide epidemic.

Or there is a minute increase in CO2 in the atmosphere and suddenly the world is going to burn.

The list is endless, Penny, manufactured crises and fabricated conspiracies are the liberals' tools to hoodwink the masses and bring them all under absolute control. POWER AND CONTROL AND MONEY is the liberal objective. They will do wh**ever it takes.

Lately there seems to be more than average new poster coming up with conspiracy theories and posting them as absolute t***h. When pressed for their sources they give some website that sells books or tapes....THE END IS NEAR. Sure, the end is near for many people, but is the end near for all people at one time. Just find it strange.

I heard the quote many times in the last 77 years as "The world is going to hell in a hand basket." I am not sure what the ancient Greeks said, but they were complaining about the same things thousands of years ago. It seems that the world has always been going to hell one way or another.

I think that Pennylynn and Blade have aspects of the same phenomena. Blades description really is more universal than just liberals, most of our venal corrupt power structure follows the principles he describes. Pennylynn ascribes beliefs in conspiracies to liberals, but I submit that such beliefs have nothing to do with true liberalism but instead reflect a belief in magic.

At the heart of it is the belief that you can get something for nothing. You can achieve prosperity by going into debt, improve society by debasing morality, guarantee one groups freedom and rights by denying those rights to another, increase someones capability by lowering standards by which it is measured. This is magic. When these obvious truisms fail it must be because there is a more puissant force in existence militating against this.

Cabals, aliens, arch manipulators, all of whom are believed to have supernatural capability to achieve their goals of thwarting the rest of us. These people or beings or groups can and do manipulate the laws of nature and men, t***sparently, as though they had platoons of genies at their command.

Magic words, incantations; Nostradamus, Astrology, Builderbergers, Trilaterals, Roswell, Secret, Vast Underground Bases, Tunnels underlying the whole country. The list of conspiracies is endless and the same; some entity with the ability to accomplish incredible feats with total invisibility and unknown advanced technology is actively seeking my demise.
