clarity on the importance of political affiliation on this forum

I am hoping that there is no preferred political affiliation for this forum. I see references to different parties, which is great for te best of brainstorming. But please advise as I have views to express on both sides and down the middle. My impression is that we are all looking to clean house and fix this country and to return to the t***hs of our constitution while living in a modern/tech-savvy world. I am going on the assumption that we are way past political parties and assigning blame based on affiliation.

I hope you aren't as sorry about this place as it appears you will be. For instance, I am one of those right handed people but am so much against Boehner and McConnell as the leaders of the GOP in Congress that I talk against both of them all the time. I am also against the other progressive GOP leaders like McCain and Graham because of what they look to attain.

Yes, most of my posts are anti-progressive for either side but most of us are against one party or the other. I would say that although I would like to read what you have to say I won't get to do so.

I dislike self-righteous, hypocritical political whores. Why would an old hedonist like myself deprive myself of the pleasure of insulting both parties? I oppose big government, and both parties have their share of big government advocates. Government supposedly derives it's power from the consent of the governed. We should be spying on them. Your chances of being k**led by a foreign terrorist are about the same as your chances of being struck by lightning while you are being eaten by a shark. Your chances of death or injury at the hands of some dumbass Federal nitwit are considerably higher.

Welcome aboard. Some people here have arrogantly decreed this as a republican forum. Such condemnation should be rejected.

I have a disposition towards both parties that can be short of disdain although I tend to support the few anamolies in the republican party. Take that as you will. I'm all for a convergence of ideologies to reclaim the idea that is America.

There are plenty here who will pass blame rather than come to reason, these individuals will not be named but they know who they are. I pass blame only where it is warranted and that is towards an entity that paints itself as reasonable and tolerant while the reality of this veneer is exactly the opposite.

You my friend could be a refreshing addition to this forum alas I should not jump to any conclusions just yet.

The views expressed on this forum are diverse. Many opinions are not necessarily aimed at a "party", but at a "concept". Most of us would like to see this country return to the true "concept" of "liberty" and the tenants of the Constitution. (My opinion). How we do that is the basis of most of the discussion here. Also at odds is the concept of "liberty" and "freedom". I think you'll find that most people that post here "think" and are aware of the subjects on which they opine. The difference of opinion is the natural result of different perspectives. We all know that there are mistakes made on both sides of the political isle, we also know that politicians, per se, do not necessarily act the way their constituents expected when they v**ed them into office. People on this forum are not afraid to publicize their opinion and generally provide some link to demonstrate why they feel the way they do.
