So it is all the doings of the w****s. Apparently we h**e b****s so much that we petitioned G*d to send his wrath on New Orleans. Never mind that New Orleans had just v**ed against spending money to have their levies shored up and some rebuilt. Mind you, if they had taken the extra 3 pennies it would have added to their tax burden, then the levies would have been fixed and the rest of the US would not be paying BILLIONS of dollars to clean up the mess. And, oh yea, we would not have double paid some people for their possessions and have paid others who did not even live in New Orleans. While not shelling out any funds to rebuild Biloxi I guess we are at fault for their bad decisions. And of course we are at fault for Detroit mismanaging their budgets, all because we h**e b****s. Somehow we got into the politician's heads and mislead them into making bad decisions. Is it not time to stop blaming the world for personal choices?

I didn't read the proposal to improve the levees-I doubt that the proposal would have covered the "event" that took place, it would have simply been a band aid.

Typicle; When ever things go bad or people go bad. It's not my fault I murdered him because of other people's faults. I am a criminal because society made me that way. The trend in America today is; no one is ever responsible for the evil they do. It's always someone else

Sorry I read this article. Its the same old same old Andrew. It's sad how people like you blame everybody else for what the union and politicians did. The greed and corruption wasn't the problem the rich were. You really are dispicable. Strange how much you sound like the fraud-in-chief. I lived in Ms. thats really where Katrina hit. Talk to anyone who lives there. New Orleans was the fault of the levees. Nagan's mismanagement and corruption helped to destroy New Orleans. I***ts like you love to blame Bush. Again sounding like bho. It would be refreshing for you and your ilk to start telling the T***H. We have learned there is no t***h in the media since bho came on the scene.

The "race card" is played again! I guess you don't change something that works. Just the title of this article is such bulls**t! If the title is that far off the charts for common sense, how could the article itself be any less dumb? The article as written should be titled, "Why the W****s H**e Detroit". The left-wing "playbook" never changes, you can say outlandish things and if you say them enough, some people will believe them.

He makes a big deal about the culture of these two cities and the color of the skin of the occupants. When will he understand that it was not the color of their skin that destroyed but rather their culture. Culture involves a lot more than music. Have you heard of the culture of corruption? Have you considered the culture of the family. I for one do not h**e Detroit but I certainly despise the culture.

This is so typical of the left. Blame r****m because it gets everyones attention. Sadly the fraud-in-chief is promoting this narrative I hope all the Independents who felt so noble by v****g for him are regretting their v**e. I have blamed Independents for this mess starting in 2008 when they pushed his numbers over the top. Quite frankly they should just register as Dems. Blaming white people for all that ails us is WRONG. By the way where were the Hispanics for Zimmerman? This i***t who wrote the article is too cowardly to even try to tell the t***h.

Check and see how much money was allocated by the federal government to keep the levees in good repair. And do an in-depth check on what the money was actually used for. While you are at it, check the new river boat gambling casinos that were financed by the levee allocation money prior to the Katrina storm. This was all on the news before it was hushed up. Don't blame anyone but the Governor and Mayor's offices for this catastrophe, as the Governor of Michigan and the Mayor of Detroit should be blamed for what happened there. I read several years ago that Detroit was going bankrupt, but the report I read was about the graft and thieving going on within the walls of city hall. So try and put the blame where the blame lies, eh?

The fact of the matter is that liberals controlled Detroit for the past 50 years. They set and implemented their policies.

Now it's time to implement the catch-all - blame Bush, blame the GOP, blame r****ts, blame the inhabitants smart enough to get the heck out.

Truly this is amazing. You have the morons on the mad hatter network blaming conservatives. How dear GOD in heaven do they get away with this? There is now and has NOT been a Republican in government in Detroit for years. Sadly the brain dead believe it.Now a real estate developer wants to do something and the so called leaders are objecting to it. Talk about BRAIN DEAD. These are the people who brought you to where you are and your listening to what this council woman has to say. Really how dumb do you have to be?

What a crock of BS this article is trying to sell. Greed and Corruption are displaced as the main culprits of the downfall of two cites, with Whitey and Conservatism. Tragic to say the most, laughable to say the least.

Maybe this shows the notion that the used will fall first.

A community of tools is no longer a community at all, it is a serfdom in the guise of a democracy. Detroit is probably a prime example of this addage.
