That's great. I didn't expect to actually see the fight this soon. Thanks.

eagleye- who won? I was in Los Angeles, and knew they were going to fight. I had imagined that it would be Mayweather - he is a great fighter. Please let me and everyone else know who won the match and how -
KO or points, etc. My father LOVED Ali - he thought that Ali moved like a dancer. Sort of like Michael Jordan, and I was not a huge fan of basketbell - Jordan danced across the court. And, to many of my friends' horror, I also really liked the bizarre Desmond. Yeah, freaky haircolour - tattooes, wedding dress and all. The only thing I did NOT understand was his going to North Korea, with that fat little dictator. Did he REALLY think he was an
Ambassador? NO ONE can change that Kim Sun Un - like pops, like son. Executed 15 or so for what? Sneezing in the street? Having a piece of paper that said something about some other country???
Give me a break. Thanks for letting me and everyone
else know who won!!!!! dancetherapist - arrived back home last evening, tired. Sort of sick. Happy to be re-
united with my house and cats...
Lots of :D :D and no  however; today I will be
wearing 8-)

Mayweather won in a decision. I figured he would because of his defensive style of fighting, an advantage with his long reach. Most fighters haven't figured this strategy out and fall into his trap of forcing them to chase him. He simply holds them off with his long reach and outlasts them and gets the decision at the end...he's a smart fighter.

You know, in late Spring of 1965, I was late in my Jr. H.S. year, and listened to much of the Ali-Liston fight on the radio, on my way to my CCD class that night. I was a long-time fan of Sonny, "The Bear," Liston, and I was saddened by his loss. Later, when I heard people critique Ali, it was typically, "He was a dancer...not a fighter." Staunch Liston fan that I was, I was swayed by that for years, even after seeing several replays of the match, but what finally what sunk in was: Ali won...not by breaking the rules, or by any judge's card edge, but by utilizing a unique strategy that allowed him to literally "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee!" I thought that phrase was hokey, at the time,[and still do], but that's what he did and it won him the bout, fairly & squarely, and I not only saw one of my heroes bite the dust, but saw Clay win a place in history.
