Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., took a senior employee of the Environmental Protection Agency, John Reeder, to task at a recent hearing over the questionable promotion of an employee, Peter Jutro, who was the accused on a growing list of sexual harassment complaints.
Gowdy let Reeder know how incompetent he was when he asked him repeatedly why he wasnt aware of any of the sexual harassment allegations against Jutro before he assumed his new job.
Do you know why you werent aware of that? Gowdy asked Reeder in that famous, fiery tone. I dont know, why? Reeder responded, not quite aware he was about to receive the full wrath of Gowdy.
Because you didnt bother to ask Mr. Jutros supervisor when you were doing his background check. He knew about it, but you didnt bother to ask him, Gowdy said.
After learning that the EPA apparently had no control over the EPA official, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee called for a hearing with Reeder and others at the EPA about their epic failure.
Even New York Democrat Rep. Carolyn Maloney thought the misconduct running rampant throughout the agency was beyond ridiculous, especially when she found out Jutro not only was not reprimanded for the complaints, but was promoted to assistant administrator for the EPA office of Homeland Security.
If you sexually harass someone it appears you get a promotion, Maloney remarked during the hearing.
Patrick Sullivan of the Inspector Generals office backed up the claim that Reeder should have been aware of some of Jutros harassment cases before he was hired, but failed to be because he never asked Jutros previous supervisor.
It looks like President Barack Obamas EPA should focus less on outside pollution and more on the pollution among its ranks.

Since the Chicago Mob took over DC, rules just haven't been the same!!! Hell, the IRS is now hiring-back employees who had been fired in the past for grievous infractions; without the slightest concern!!! And it all comes from the liberal progressive, [vetted and un-vetted], Czar-like, top of the heap!!!
