Problem In Baltimore That R****rs Won’t Admit

Gentry’s impassioned plea to the black community, is to stop blaming everyone for your own faults and to make a change by starting with yourself. Gentry feels that the main cause of all this violence is that God has not been present in the homes of the black youths and because of that there is a lack of guidance in their young lives.

If you have time, listen to him explain his points on the embedded video.

It seems that once again w****s are blamed for problems no matter what happens in black communities - even worse, it becomes white conservatives. I thought it had gotten a tad goofy when a totally dominated by Democrats city like Ferguson became a white conservative problem. Then with Detroit, I thought it downright humorous when hearing some stretch reality to blame someone other than Democrat policies for that city's troubles. Now we have yet another city totally controlled by black liberal Democrats with w****s, as in Detroit, actually the minority - and once again all problems are from the white folks.

When people so aggressively practice self delusion there will never be an end to those people's misery and frustration - and little the rest of us can do to save them from themselves.

The thing is, such problems have nothing to do with partisan politics. Those who believe that everyone is either democrat or republican, liberal or conservative - is deluding themselves. The fact is, the majority of folk are neither, they have only a passing interest in politics, at most paying lip service. That is the younger generation I am talking about, up to about 28-30 years old.

There is a pervasive concept among such youngsters, that the "adults" have abandoned them, their needs and interests and are colluding to screw them out of their rights. Sounds suspiciously like what was "felt" in the early sixties, doesn't it? The unrest, resentment and anger are across the board, in terms of where the folks live and are unemployed.

I know it's tempting to make this a political issue, but it simply isn't. There are folks who feel the same way in every city of the Union, regardless of what "administration" is currently in power, or has been. It's an issue for society as a whole and it boils down to personal responsibility, personal ethics and an individual sense of morality - or lack thereof.

I can only partially agree with you. What we see in the major cities with deep social problems (Detroit & Baltimore at the moment), is areas run exclusively, and for many years, one party in control. In both cases, that was the Democrat party. However, if the opposite had been true and they had a long history of Republican control, there would be problems... maybe not the same, but still expansive.

Any time one party or ideology has that degree of control over the political process they have little motivation to work for the benefit of the masses. Their goal is merely to stay in power and exercise their control.

God is equally not in the homes of white, browns, and yellows but we don't see the same problems do we. Maybe it's not god that is lacking but a society that doesn't give a s**t...

Why should society care when the individual doesn't appear to? We have built an entitlement focused environment that defeats their need to find personal motivation, p***e in achievement and personal responsibility. Only someone with no sense of responsibility would blame "the man" for their plight when "the man" is the one who feeds, clothes and houses them. They primarily live off the labors of others with the exception of the booty they get from illegal activities.
