Why would the "higher ups" be involved in the day to day operations of a department completely governed and administered by civil servants? The IG report determined that nothing illegal occurred, so why the need to review other documents? The IRS has the duty to ensure that, when an organization applies for an exemption, the majority of the funds collected by that 501c(4) organization goes toward the intended purposes that permitted the tax free exemption in the first place. The IRS must do it's job, no matter who it offends.

Why are liberals so eager to defend a bureaucracy that admits mistakes, send billions of tax dollars to dead people, lies about their e-mails, has the lead person take the fifth and retire with benefits? Not one person that works, (or doesn't) for the IRS has been fired lately. Not one. At least conservatives despise the IRS no matter which party is in the White House.

True about the lying 3, but don't you think it is high time this insanity stops. I say it is way past time.

Ah, righty there's the rub. Lying to a liberal is just like breathing. It comes naturally.

I think it's high time congress stop this witch hunt of trying to tie the White House and the IRS to a conspiracy.

I don't, nor should any other red blooded American wish this. Therein lies one of the problems with America. Strict political line. If anyone one of our elected officials breaks the law, violates the Oath they took, violates the constitution, no matter their party needs to be held accountable and punished for their actions. This side does it, goes unpunished, then that side does it, goes unpunished, then both sides do it together, they go unpunished while realizing; realizing hey look at this. We can act like we don't like each other, act like we care what our constituents want all the same time screwing them over and we can keep getting fatter and fatter and remain in power. Enough of the bulls**t from all of them

Lois Lerner has got to be wondering what will be found. She knows what she wrote, and she knew enough to take the Fifth Amendment.

Lois Lerner, now retired and enjoying a six-figure income courtesy of taxpayers, has plenty of time to wonder which of her emails are now in the hands of congressional investigators. Bernie Becker of The Hill reports:

An inspector general investigating the IRS’s improper scrutiny of Tea Party groups has found thousands of emails from Lois Lerner, the agency official at the center of that controversy, according to committees involved in the probe.

Treasury’s inspector general for tax administration (TIGTA) said it found roughly 6,400 emails either to or from Lerner from between 2004 and 2013 that it didn’t think the IRS had turned over to lawmakers, the congressional committees said. The committees have yet to examine the emails, aides on Capitol Hill said.

That’s only about 4 emails per workday for the period in question, but they might be the incriminating ones, since other emails were already turned over, while these were the ones that were destroyed (we are supposed to believe that this was inadvertent according to IRS commissioner Koskinen). How many other emails remain lost? I have no idea.

How long can it take to review the recovered emails? We’ll see what the committee staffs do, and how this plays out. The longer it takes, the closer we get to the 2016 e******n.

Meanwhile, Lois Lerner has got to be wondering what will be found. She knows what she wrote, and she knew enough to take the Fifth Amendment.

Tick, tick, tick, tick.

===================
Lois Lerner just by following orders of corruptions from the higher officials has been given a lucrative retirement of $102,600 annually for the rest of her life. She has a $3.6 million total for her lifetime.

The democrats are really very corrupt, greedy, at the expense of the hardworking American people.

Guarantee you take the same scenario with the IRS and conservative groups and make those groups liberal under a Republican administration and people like jack would be raising hell about it. Liberals put ideology and party before country every time.

This whole issue of trying to tie elected officials (the President) to a conspiracy involving career civil servants is beyond stupid. Civil servants have different political followings just like the rest of Americans, and no amount of pressure is going to sway them to change those political beliefs. I agree that if laws were broken, there should be consequences. However, there has been no laws broken, but due to the fact that the GOP and it's followers cannot come to terms that Obama was elected twice, they assume something has to be wrong, therefore they continue the BS witch hunts to find anything that supports their deluded beliefs. They are wasting their time and tax payer money because nothing sinister will be found. It's amazing that republicans would think that someone conducting anything that would appear to be illegal or controversial would be dumb enough to do so on a media that is traceable. No political staff would be as dumb as Chris Christie's group.

Instead of running on anything positive, the republicans believe they can win e******ns by denigrating Democrats. Well, the v****g public is tired of the negativity spewed by those who have a set agenda.....destroy Democrats, give the rich more tax breaks, feed the military industrial complex (run by their rich cronies), cripple the economy and blame Obama, and offer nothing positive in return. Pathetically d********g, but true. I bet the average republican v**er cannot tell you the contents of the republican platform, but they can recite every alleged lie told by the President.
