Pretty stupid, it seems from watching this video. The guy says he got 14 signatures on his petition to allow 4th trimester a******ns. Those 14 had been totally dumbed down, it appears.

Yes oldroy, I watched that earlier today. Even the women (girls) didn't even catch it.

Quid Pro Quo, AuntiE: Mark Levin says George Mason was the driving force behind what became the second method of Constitutional Amendments by the States, that is the basis of Levin's new book coming out in about a month titled The Liberty Amendments ... Mason was another of the great Virginians crafting our constitution.

This is one of several classic vid's currently in circulation on the w.w.w., I have seen one where they actually got people to sign a petition to totally do away with the second amendment, Ive seen one where the interviewed people right outside of a v****g session who had no clue of even the basic facts with regard to the simplest of questions concerning how our nation came to be or even when, they actually asked people on video what year we claimed our independance from England, Mexico, France, Belgium, it was stupifying to see the young people answering these questions with total confidence that they had answered the questions correctly and factually. I have no problem at all understanding the hows, whys, and where to fore of the dumbing down of Americas youth, I'm on the downhill slope right now so I figure I can hack it for a bit longer, but by "GOD" I seriously fear for my grand children's future, if any at all that will not come under c*******tic or f*****t rule right here on our soil.

One woman said that she had had a baby just three months ago and then signed that thing. The fact that they didn't catch on to what was going on tells me too much about how they are hauled along by the choicers and other leaners.

I'm not wanting to cause any trouble but is there a chance you could tell me which of our amendments weren't proposed by the Congress and then approved the normal way, 3/4 of state legislatures giving their approval. I checked in the book I taught from all of my 28 years of teaching Government to high school seniors.

I didn't know there were any like that but Levin seems to know about things like that.

I just looked and found that all of our amendments have been proposed by Congress and ratified by State Legislatures. The Congress knows better than to call State Conventions to ratify the amendments. I am not saying that States have not asked their people to approve them before they v**ed, only that they have ratified all of them.

Hey, do you know my old buddy Ben Horyna? He coached at Fowler a number of years and was here in our high school a number of years as a very successful counselor. I never thought to ask you about that. Ben is about 70 now so you could have known him.

How far down that slope are you duke? You may have more years to go than you think. I was sure in my earlier days that I wouldn't get beyond 55 as three of my mother's brothers were exactly that age when they had their first heart attacks. I had my first on at 72 and that was 8 1/2 year ago. My in-laws are 93 and 94 and just starting to really fail. I wonder if I will last that long.

Quid Pro Quo, oldroy: Levin says all 27 Amendments were proposed by Congress and approved by the States in the normal way. But that is not the second method Levin suggests, which is a convention of the States, to propose Amendments, and then have them v**ed on seperately by each of the states after the convention, to see which ones might be ratified by the necessary 3/4 th of the States. Congress would not be involved. That is my understanding of what Levin said on his radio show. We'll see when his book comes out in about a month.

The Constitution provides two methods of proposal of amendments. One is by Congress and the other is by a Constitutional Convention like the first one where the Constitution was written. I am glad that the Congress has never been so stupid as to try to use the second method and I hope they never do. The Constitution provides only two means of ratification by Congress or by State Conventions. If you combine the two and the two you have 4 means of amendment and only two of the methods have been used.

I wonder about Levin's method. I see nothing in the Constitution about that method and am glad I don't.

I'm college educated and I'm nowhere near this stupid.

Maybe I'm immune to the floride they put into the water...(yes Alex Jones that was a knock against you)

Or maybe I was born with a functioning brain that hasn't been fried by too much reality tv garbage and having "smart phones" doing the thinking for me.

God, I h**e my generation. Yes I was probably the only 18-year-old that did not v**e for Obozo back in 2008.

It's amazing to see that anyone in college would sign such a petition. I would expect 99% of students to just laugh when asked to sign. This is another indication of how far liberal educators (read "indoctrinators") have come in the "dumbing down" of our young people. It's a damn shame! And it's our own fault for not trying to correct the problem a long time ago. People should start taking an interest in the "curriculum" of educators before these people are allowed to teach the crap they put forth to our kids. There are too many colleges that are "bastions of liberalism" (such as UMASS, AMHERST College, etc.) that go unchecked by students' parents. Maybe if parents refused to pay tuition for their kids to attend these colleges, they would "smarten up" and get some "balance" in education.

Quid Pro Quo, oldroy: When and if I get time, I'll take a look at the constitution and see if I can find the language Levin is talking about. He did say it was not a constitutional convention to change the constitution, but rather an Amendment convention of the States to propose Amendments.
