DeLauro's attempt to bribe away your Second Amendment rights

Perhaps realizing that their efforts to gut the Second Amendment are failing (badly), the Left has hit on a new idea for getting guns out of private hands: bribery (link is external)... http://thehill.com/regulation/legislation/237983-dems-would-pay-gun-owners-to-turn-in-assault-rifles

Gun owners would receive tax breaks for voluntarily turning in high-powered assault rifles under new legislation proposed Monday.

The Support Assault Firearm Elimination and Education of our (SAFER) Streets Act (link is external) expected to be reintroduced next week by Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) would provide gun owners with an incentive to turn in their firearms to local police departments.

“Assault weapons are not about hunting, or even self-defense,” DeLauro said (link is external). “There is no reason on earth, other than to k**l as many people as possible in as short a time as possible, that anyone needs a gun designed for a battlefield.”

Though DeLauro is in favor of stronger guns laws that would completely ban assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition, she emphasized this bill would not force gun owners to turn in their firearms.

The legislation would provide up to $2,000 in tax credits for gun owners who voluntarily hand over assault weapons to their local police departments.

We initially dismissed this as a late April Fools joke. But Rep. DeLauro and her suppoters are as serious as can be about using tax credits to get those evil assualt weapons off the streets. And while the bill has no chance of passing, it is instructive.

Rep. DeLauro thinks Second Amendment rights can be bought and sold like gum or paper towels. That tells us just about everything we need to know about her respect for the rest of the Constitution.

They keep on with the bs about not needing them for hunting, or target shooting. WTF about the fact that I happen to like guns? People collect all kinds of stuff, because they like it. I happen to like things that go bang. I even have a couple of antiques that won't go bang. They are still cool, and I have the right to have them!!

Am sure there will be some takers from none thinking people not realizing that once they give it up they won't be able to replace legally. This could open the black market for illegal guns!

That is exactly what will happen and the crime rate will skyrocket.

Any i***t who would fall for this never knew the real reason for the Second Amendment, to protect one from an overreaching government. Remember the purpose of both statism- (c*******m and f*****m) and Islam is to force everyone to SUBMIT
