I believe Pope Francis is the more intelligent than any that existed. His training taught acceptance of human nature. I think his allowing condoms is for health reasons in order to combat AIDS.
It's very well that the Catholic Church has been against this form of birth control for the purpose only of preventing pregnancies. It would be foolish for him to give an order that condoms should only be used to prevent STDs. Having to make a distinction as to their use would truly screw up his followers.
Just as the past ban on eating meat on Friday was lifted, the followers (or many of them) still observe that initial ban. I believe that many of the followers of the Catholic Church will not avail themselves of this privilege now. If they do, they will no longer believe they are committing sin.

I don't know what it is you're seeing in that photo but it looks like difficulty in donning a rain protector. You must have a truly sick mind to compare pieces of plastic to condoms. Is that what you've been using?
