Politics and Guilt

Never gave much thought to politics until I joined OPP and realized that politics is the same as religion, it's mostly a matter of opinion.

There's nothing solid, it's all what people say and it can change from day to day. Some pol that we thought was honest turns out to have sex s***es chained in the basement or something. I recall a number of big scandals with religious leaders, and the people who want us to elect them can be just as capricious. Feet of clay.

It's all opinion whether we see ourselves as Conservative, Liberal or middle of the road. It -almost- all depends on what we believe, and very little on what we might know. How can anyone be sure about any candidate when all of them are just after personal power, all of them are at least a little dishonest and some of them are chronic liars?

Our government has grown into such a monster that it's impossible to know who's really behind any candidate, who's being threatened by whom to shut up or who's next to die mysteriously under suspicious circumstances.

Seems to me that for all of us, choosing and v****g for candidates is a dangerous business simply because we have to live with our decisions after the e******n if they win, and all too often our choices turn out to be awful. I don't know about the rest of you but I haven't been very happy with any of them since I first v**ed in the early 60's, whether I v**ed for them or not.

Many didn't did not think much about it likely until Bill Clinton lied to Congress (the American people) and damn few democrats were willing to stand up for the v**ers rights. Now I liked Clinton up to that point because I really didn't look into him that much, my opinion has changed greatly and what really brought to light was his wife, looks dirty to me!

For me it was Clinton lying (I v**ed for him) and watching the Clarence Thomas hearings and seeing how out of touch with average Americans congress really is.
