Don't get me wrong, I'm hetero and at my age I don't chase skirts anymore, anyway. The fire has died and this isn't a pitch for any kind of sex.

I frequently rant and rave on OPP about overpopulation and how we're k*****g off all the other critters in our selfishness, said rants usually arising during disputes about a******n.

Now, overt homosexual behavior, public displays, disgust and revolt me. I don't care who's q***r but I never see straight couples dry-humping each other in the grocery aisles, you know what I mean?

That said, there comes a time to make a decision regarding values, and the t***h is that I value the survival of our forests, jungles, savannahs and deserts, our ocean and our air, and all the other creatures we share this Earth with, more than I ever could value too many humans.

When mosquitoes become a problem, we k**l off the excess. When there's so many deer that half will starve to death during the next winter (because we k**led off all the mountain lions), then we issue more hunting permits and k**l off the excess deer. But when too many humans becomes a problem, what do we do? We make lots more humans.

So while I could never bring myself to support the non-baby making "L**T" agenda, I have to admit that there are only a few solutions to our implacable selfishness. A plague that wipes most of us out, a war that wipes most of us out, or everybody turning q***r and not making babies anymore.

The latter would sure end all the fighting over a******ns. No more pregnancies. Personally, I like the Plague Scenario. Nothing else gets hurt, just us, and when it's over, children will be much more valued again, a******ns will be rare and maybe the epidemic of abuse will stop.

Between the other two, war and homosexuality, I suppose I would have to v**e for the q***rs rather than see the Earth devastated by a global war but that's not an easy decision. Plague is good. Let's have a plague.

Maybe we should bring back the Catholic practice of castrating prepubescent boys so their voices stay pure and clear as they always sing soprano castrato. On the other hand, the claims over the years are that the REAL reason for that operation was to make them always available to the priests. Something to think about.

Alert, your idea is unworkable. Why, you may ask. Simply because a large number of newly married same male g****r couples are paying surrogates to have their children. Female same g****r couples are finding donor sperm for invetroferlization (sp) to have children. They want to form families through available scientific medical practices.

You may have to stick with the plague idea.
