I've always been interested in politics but I never felt the need to be a "watchdog" until this administration. I gave BO the benefit of doubt and hope the first year he was in office. Now, I'm actively calling, letter writing and emailing an excessive number of Senators and Representatives to push for impeachment of BO and Holder. Elected officials have forgotten who put them in the position they are in. The DC bubble has clouded their thought process and lined their pockets. They have made government larger in spite of the wants/needs of "We The People". Very few follow or believe in our Constitution. I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge with everyone's thoughts and facts provided on this site.

The politicians have not "forgotten" who put them in office, Dl, they simply don't care anymore. They are aware of the fact that if they keep the "entitlements" coming, they will get their v**es. They don't follow the Constitution because if they did, they wouldn't be able to do what they do with impunity. People that v**e them into office without ascertaining where they stand with regard to abiding by the Constitution before they v**e, are who keep them in office.

So true. Why have Americans become so complacent about politicians? Is it because we didn't feel the need to follow as closely as now or do they just look for the hand out from big brother?

I believe it is a combination of both. With the internet and various "blogs" people have a way of expressing their opinion and some of those people are very intelligent (although we also have to read posts from the really uniformed, also). Never before has there been an avenue in which "common" people could be heard throughout the country (unless they were invited on a TV program). There are so many people in this country that are much more qualified to be in Congress than most of the politicians, but would never attempt to run (also due to the fact that it costs so much to seriously be a candidate). Many politicians have paid their way into office. As I've said before, why would anyone spend millions to get a job that pays $170,000 a year? Because thy want power over everyone else and they usually make millions once in office.
The latest administration has made it so that the economy is so bad that there are not enough jobs to go around (plus they want to legalize millions of i*****l i*******ts (which will further tighten the jobs market). Therefore, not only do people that don't want to work get a "handout", but people that would like a job need a handout.

I also think that recently, people are not complacent about government, they are pissed, but most don't know what they can do about it. That's why the upcoming mid-term e******ns are so important! Vet your candidate and v**e for someone that believes in the Constitution.

Government has NOT grown! Every jobs report shows that decreases in government employment are offsetting much of the job increase in the private sector.
Just saying someone has broken the Constitution and deserves impeachment lacks something: what particular actions has the president taken that are high crimes?

Lets start with ruling by edict rather than through Congress. Just because you don't like a law doesn't mean you don't enforce it or enforce only the laws that you like or suit you. Then there's his approval on Fast & Furious, B******i, NSA, and IRS. It happened on his watch and saying you know nothing about the issues is totally irrelevant. He should be held accountable just as Nixon was!

Quid Pro Quo, livesinatree: Here is a partial list of High Crimes & Mesdemeanors for your consideration. Add in fostering the Zimmerman litigation & Holder's Montana fraud that should end his DOJ job.

I believe that IRS involvement is wrong. I believe government is invading into too many parts of everyone's daily lives
