There are forty seven s******nist that have only been remotely impugned.As far as I know such a high heinous crime,synomonous with TREASON, historacally has always been, prosecuted that is.The lame excuse for not doing as such,was rather `punkish`, of course what was done violated the "LOGAN ACT".The fact that it eas an open letter and they made no specific reference to the negotiation does'nt imply aquittal.What is pertinent is that they mention Obams' name and referred to a coumtry that the president is conversing with.

What are you smoking? The 47 congressmen have as much right to free speech under the First amendment as you have. Their letter was posted on a public forum and consisted of an explanation of our governmental process. Are you going to argue that they lied? How did their letter advocate the over throw of the US government? Historically, the law against s******n (Smith Act) was aimed at non-citizen adults. Approximately 215 people were indicted under the legislation, including alleged c*******ts, Anarchists, and f*****ts.
Some of these convictions were overturned and the law was declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. It was not "always" enforced.
