Who knows? I'd boycott them, but that's my favorite place for wifi. What I can do is get as many 50 cent refills as I can.

How appropriate this comes form the Teaparty site...it's a tempest in a teapot.

Trust me. People paying on average $5 for a cup of coffee are not shy about expressing their opinions. If the initiative bothers their customers then Starbucks will stop it pronto. And why the author construed this to be "hassling" I cannot see.

If it sparks some positive conversation, why would anyone oppose it?

How did you get that people would be called r****t? It's just a conversation. Or not if the customer chooses.

Hand written messages on people's coffee cups, by the employees, and you seriously believe nothing like that will happen? Come on, dude. Seriously?

I go there rarely & it looks like it just got Rarer! Period! I'll do my coffee buys at 7-11 or Circle K from now on exclusively! I don't need some person still wet behind the ears writing any kind of message on MY cup of coffee. PERIOD

My stepdaughter's husband must have his Starbucks every morning. I can't wait to hear his comments on this.

I have never been to a Starbucks, on the rare occasion we go out for breakfast it's to Denny's and I have coffee there otherwise it's at home
