Hi Everyone, My name is Diane. I have lived long enough to see what is happening to our great country. I never was much interested in politics, but then again I never had reason to fear my own government which is supposed to be run by " We the people " All I see is the American citizen being ignored, and if anyone tries to disagree the IRS is told to go after you. Sounds like a nightmare or Bizzarro World on Superman. The only answer I can see is prayer to The Lord Jesus Christ. No one, not even the politicians who say they disagree with what is going on, do anything about it but talk, talk talk. No action is ever taken. Any President who fears what the people want and tries to oppress them is guilty of something because if you were running the country by our Constitution you would fear no one. I pray Obummer and his many cohorts are removed from power, the sooner the better. All this press even by Fox about Zimmerman is just to take the heat off ALOT of other issues ( or should I say SCANDALS ) that are far more important like the IRS scandal, and the slaughter of our ambassador Chris Smith who had been begging for help for months. He was totally ignored and the present administration actually removed the little security they had, Fast & Furious, the Snowden issue I could go on and on but you get the picture. They say they are Christians yet they support a******n and gay marriage. They claim to want gun control to protect the precious children. Obummer, Biden, Clinton, and Pelosi have all sold their souls for POWER. They don't really care about women and children or they wouldn't allow children ( female children ) to get a******ns without even parental consent. The standards in these a******n mills are a horror. Its just a way around the 2nd Ammendment to disarm honest citizens because they fear us ( IRS scandal is a good example of this )I could go on and on but you know or you wouldn't be on this site.

Great, I can deal with them. They wouldn't be liberals or progressive or wh**ever else they want to call themselves if they were God fearing & intelligent. I just have to have other people who feel and think like I do and are old enough to remember how America was even 50 yrs ago to talk to.

we need to go back to the way the constitution was in the beginning without all the ammendments, or at least have the people agree on which ones need to stay, I for one would love to see the the sixteenth one gone. That is the one that gives congress the right to impose taxes for any amount on the people, folks we need the fair tax, not the flat tax and not the irs

Welcome to 1PP, rozied. I think you will find that a good portion of people on this site think along the same lines as you do. There are a few who do not, who are confirmed socialists, who "feel" rather than "think". I do believe they are in the minority on this site, however.

Diane, I'm from 1954, technically a boomer but I have lived my whole life in central Alabama and was raised in a family of six children and mom and dad. There was only one income, that from a textile mill job that paid very little.
We learned to get by on less than most people but at the same time it made us stronger, gave us a real work ethic and a determination to make our lives better.
We were raised in the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ and depend on him still.
We know the America that is being destroyed as we a people watch confused about what to do.
I'm afraid we will be the last generation to understand what it truly means to be an American.
Our Government is nothing but corrupt, our children are being brain-washed and somehow I feel we have let it happen!

I heard Mark Levin on the radio the other night and get all of what he was saying. He is coming out with a new book here shortly and has something to do with calling for a constitutional convention to save our country. I wish I could have heard the whole show but I am for one going to get his book when it comes out to see if we the conservatives can pull of something to help put our country back together again.

I love Mark Levin. But I am leery about a Constitutional Convention. I trust nothing re the government these days, and chances are that we could come out of that Convention minus the Bill of Rights. It isn't an impossibility. Don't forget that the left c***ts and lies, and the pubbies roll over onto their backs. If Mark Levin could lead it, or if Judge Andrew Napolitano could lead it, I'd be for it 100%, but they wouldn't be the ones in charge. I'm very, very leery of a Convention.

As I said I didn't hear the whole show. I took my grandson and his friend to church on Wednesday night and between them chatting away I was just catching bits and pieces of the show. I hear your concern though.

Hi Diane and welcome! I am fairly new here as well and I am quite surprised of how many people in here are trying to pretect our constitution , 2nd amendment and believe like I do. I was born in 1948 and yes a baby boomer. I worked and started paying my taxes when I was 13... A door and f**g boy at my school and was payed by the state $ 25.00 dollars a month, thought I was so rich, hahah. God bless you.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I was born in 1947 and am one of the first bunch of baby boomers. My husband Jim is a Viet Nam vet and both our fathers, and uncles were WWII vets. As someone just mentioned they feel our generation caused alot of this, and I do agree. When I grew up a******ns was against the law, and gays were called q***rs. In fact I am a nurse and in 1972 I think or around then a******n was just made legal, and I got stuck caring for a young woman having a late term a******n. She was not supposed to be more than 20wks, and she was at least 24. She had a salting out procedure done 2 days before and was sent home until she went into labor. It was policy if you were in labor you were admitted to the labor unit but the nurse working there refused to care for her because she was Catholic. I don't know how she got away with it but I had to care for her along with 17 other patients with just one nurses aide. The baby a little girl was delivered by me into a wash basin, she was red from head to toe, burned to death by the salt solution. I had to put this dead baby into a plastic container, and send it to the lab. Our generation pushed for a******n, and contraception. I think babies are always a gift from God They say a Conservative is a liberal who grew up. I have to agree with that. Again nice to meet you all,

Thank your family for its service for America, and thank you for this story about the poor little baby. I am a STRONG advocate for criminalizing partial birth a******ns. I see it as murder, pure and simple. Maybe your story will help. I've tried numerous times to post pictures of the mutilated infants, but the sites usually pull them because they are "too graphic". I want to scream at them that the procedure is too graphic too, and should be outlawed.
