Oops, bad impression. I am not as big a jerk as I sound. I have, on occasion, posted on facebook and even twitter and been known to discus the weather. More acceptable?

You're gettin' there, yep.... :roll: :lol: Welcome!! Just curious as to "why" only the stuff that brings about an adrenalin rush makes the most enjoyable connection for you. "Sometimes" the ordinary every day conversations are what allow you to see into another's soul and helps you understand how/why they think the way they do, gives you a starting point. Hey, what do I know? I grew up in a house where there loomed the possibility that even saying "good morning" could be great fodder for intense discussion, and so not exactly my cup of tea. Look forward to your posts. I see your sense of humor tweaking through with your choice of avatar. I loved that song growing up!! :lol:

You are right. I did not mean to dismiss that facet. I have a rather restricted life, in a small and also a big and good way, being a father and provider. Controversy is usually limited to what cartoons the kids want to watch or having pineapple on our ordered pizza. Weekends the life-altering and world-shaking choices are whether to go to her in-laws, mine, or the park with the kids. See what I mean? But, again, you are right. Those are the exact things that make the biggest difference...and the biggest hearts. Nice to meet you. Well said.

I love pizza and I truly appreciate pineapple, but not together. I haven't eaten fresh pineapple in years and years, not since my years as a free spirit on Oahu, and there's nothing like field ripened pineapple. The pineapples in the grocery stores these days I simply won't waste my money on.
