Democrats would like to make the SAT test fair. They have proposed a new weighting system for the test based on the race of the student taking the test. Asians would automatically be subtracted 50 points off the final score, while b****s and Hispanics would automatically be given 50 points. Caucasion students would have neither points added nor subtracted. "This would allow the test to be graded more equitably, with all students having equal opportunity for chances of success," says the Democratic committee assigned to setting the rules for the tests.
Well, that sounds very fair. I'm all for equal opportunity. And while we are at it, why don't we give Asians an automatic 50 points on their Drivers Education tests as we all know Asians are such great drivers? And since White Men Can't Jump, Caucasion students should get an automatic inch credit at basketball tryouts. Sounds reasonable. Everyone should have equal opportunity.
When are Democrats going to figure out that life is not fair, was never meant to be fair, and is never going to be fair? Here we are trying to legislate intelligence. And they say they are NOT being r****t coming up with these rules?
C'mon people!

I can't wait for when all the American basketball teams, Serenity, are forced to include at least an equal number of first-string little white people for the "equal opportunity" thing. What??? Wally Cox and the like couldn't be all THAT bad!!!

One would have to conclude that if we mixed the races equally inside the basketball roster, that we should refer to the team as being "colored"?

I don't doubt it a bit. The saying,
"Equal opportunity does not mean equal outcome" applies here.

It reminds me of when I was a child and I threw a temper tantrum because my sister got 2 pieces of my favorite pizza and I only got one. "Its not fair!" I screeched at my father, who immediately got up from the table and pulled me up by the cuff of my shirt. "Who ever told you life was fair?" he demanded of me through my tears. "You are going to have a tough life indeed if you think life is going to treat you fair. Now get over it, sit down, and hush!" So I did - and I never made that complaint again.

Just my opinion but giving points on the SAT, will not ensure your ability to do university level work. You will be setting these young people up to fail. Also, if my child were Black or Hispanic, I would see this as an insult. To me it would mean, your child is not smart enough to enter university on his/her own merit based solely upon his race.
I have had many new university grads apply for jobs. I find they can not do basic math without a calculator. Communication sk**ls do not exist. Customer service is something they have no idea how to provide. We have dropped the bar enough on what should be higher education.

Progressive education dropped the ball a long time ago by ending programs with excellent track records and substituting new, unproven programs in the interest of "progressing". One clear example of this is the outright aggressive attack on phonics education, which was substituted with "whole language" See Spot Run garbage. Now Johnny can't even read and we expect him to v**e. Do you think Progressive, liberal educators have admitted defeat and admitted their "new, fresh" reading program is a dismal failure and only degrades the black and Hispanic students they claim to care about into guinea pigs? No. Instead, they try again and again in failed reading programs, changing the titles and the readers but never changing the fundamental problem: English is by its very nature a phonetic language. Phonics successfully taught students of every color to read and write at a college level by High School.
If its not broken, don't fix it. But don't tell a Progressive educator that. They will cuss you out and send you away.

Common core has pretty much set up all students to pass with a failing grade. IMHO of course.
It's like athletics in today's world. When I was a young boy, you tried out for the team, if you was good enough, you made the team. If you couldn't cut the mustard, try again next year. In today's PC world, every kid makes the team and gets a chance to play in every game.

I think I should be able to fly a fighter jet, even though I'm dreadfully nearsighted and scared of heights. But nonetheless, that's what I want to do and you better make it so I can fly one or I'll throw a fit like a spoiled child.....
