Sterilizing the Unfit - Progressivism's Gift to Civilization

This story emerges as part of the legacy of Planned Parenthood, the main driving force for eugenics in this country.

In Buck vs. Bell that allowed the sterilization program, from the mind of the great progressive, Supreme Court Associate Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr., came this, writing for the 8-1 majority:

“We have seen more than once that the public welfare may call upon the best citizens for their lives. It would be strange if it could not call upon those who already sap the strength of the State for these lesser sacrifices, often not felt to be such by those concerned, to prevent our being swamped with incompetence. It is better for all the world, if instead of waiting to execute degenerate offspring for crime, or to let them starve for their imbecility, society can prevent those who are manifestly unfit from continuing their kind. The principle that sustains compulsory v******tion is broad enough to cover cutting the Fallopian tubes. [...] Three generations of imbeciles are enough.[29]”

I wonder what went through his mind as he faced his Creator, after his death, and realized that he had to answer for allowing these things to happen to those ‘imbeciles’ whom the Creator counted as his equal in the Eternal Scheme of things. It must bother people like Holmes and progressives to realize that anyone counts as their equal.

Gee, when I read that story, Rod, about "the legacy of Planned Parenthood," I could have sworn those were the words of PP's founder, Margaret Sanger. It seems Margaret always told her friends to never let it slip the way [she] actually felt about "negroes," but, knowing Margaret's ideology and prejudices it's no wonder that all [her] a******n clinics were located primarily in minority neighborhoods; and I do believe that Justice Holmes may-well have copied directly from Margaret's private diary.

Well those negroes were 'weeds' & 'reckless breeders' according to her. Let's get rid of all those infit should have been her motto. Trent Lott got railroaded out of politics for a lot less.

If three generations of imbeciles are enough, why is Congress, which is as popular as a cockroach with AIDS, repeatedly re-elected? What does this say about an e*****rate that despises a Congress, yet re-elects them time after time?

Well, Margaret Sanger is a celebrated hero of the liberal progressive c*******t party, rod, much like [their] KKK is hypocritically associated to conservatives. Ain't THAT a kick-in-the-head!!!

I am very much in favor of voluntary sterilization for both men and women. Forced sterilization is unconscionable.

You're saying a mouthful. Lenin, Stalin, Hitler and Mao were among progressive heroes. Hitler really went awry so they had to blame him n conservatives. They've succeeded. N**is are from the Right, c*******ts from the Left.

I beg to differ with you about the KKK fact is the liberal party runs/operates/controls the KKK,food for thought if they didn't do you really think the obama dog would have lasted 3 months in his first term. NOT/NOT much less be elected a 2nd term & still above ground. NOT/NOT
