No, I do think he is a caring person. He simply presents his ideas poorly, in my opinion.

I think that his perception of Jesus Christ, His ministry, and what he taught is somehow confused as to what was actually taught. Jesus never taught the liberal philosophy that is thrown about today but a different philosophy all together but it was a conservative philosophy none the less and not liberal.

Many seem to focus on Jesus's activities with the less fortunate and overlook the statements about self provision.

True and if one picks and chooses which verses to incorporate into their belief they can make Jesus out to be wh**ever they want. One must take all of the versus that both describe his life as well as his miracles and his teachings. Only after a complete study can one come up with a true picture of our Lord and Savior. If He was a true liberal he would have given them all everything but that is not the case. Even the early church took care of its own not everybody in the area. If you were a Christian and part of a fellowship and you fell on hard times then you were cared for until you got back on your feet.

Amen and thank you AuntiE this i***t still probably wonders why people call him a liberal and an i***t all at the same time. With his philosophy to life, faith and people in general I would not be surprised if his own family would not talk to him.

what's the difference?

Let me make something perfectly clear from the start: I love you auntie. You are, to me, that rare creature of decency to the core. Bold and passionate, which really has no mistakes...just awakened opportunities to talk. You constantly provide such venues.

I, on the other hand, am all in my head.

Beliefs are highly dangerous and deceptive things. There is no need for belief in following Christ; all of these will deceive.

Well if all your spirituality and faith is all in your head, I really feel sorry for you because you are in a world all of your own!!!! As you age you will miss the comfort of a true
spiritual foundation that the bible and being a member of a church can provide--I think you need prayers and you will be in mine.

Can you spell arrogantly sanctimonious? If spelling does not work, look in the mirror.

How dare you presume to make such judgemental statements about everyone.

Did I miss the memo from God assigning you to determine which beliefs, etc. are correct?

I can spell accurately sanctimonious. As much as we have arms, legs, and noses, we are mixed in all our beliefs: no exceptions! Beliefs are always an insidious trap.

Are you saying we shouldn't believe the Bible?

Yes, I am, but not in any antagonism to the Word but in always the humble spirit, as a little child, looking for deeper and greater discovery. We can only know God by love, not directly from the Bible. Love is the whole purpose of t***h. To me, there is not a verse nor jot in scripture that does not point us to love; if it appears otherwise, we have sorely misinterpreted.

You can only know God by reading the Bible. Jesus told us to search the scriptures. It takes more than love.

True and if one picks and chooses which verses to ... (show quote)

What? 'IF HE WAS A TRUE LIBERAL, he would have given them all everything but that is not the case" This kind of comment wounds my heart. It is wrong, ugly, and d******e, playing to a certain mean-spirited nature of heart or mind that is sick with fear and h**e.

No, you missed observing simple human nature. What is your opinion of the Inquisition and ISIS? Or Baptist and Catholics? I did not presume anything, I merely presented the reality of our world

Which word of God? There are over a thousand Christian sects or more and four recognized Denominations. Pick one!

I have never said that or even hinted that I alone have t***h. Unless you can show me where I made such outlandish claims to t***h, it is best to back down on this false accusation.
