So you've read some books. Now, tell me, what are you doing about it since you've learned so much? If I like your answer, I may join you. But, I think you're, probably, just another armchair warrior like the rest of us. Spouting off on OPP. In the meantime try some pepto bismol.
I'll ignore your insults because I'll consider the source. You state that we just got a bunch of RINOs in the last e******n. Well, I call that progress, because we have cut down the number of Democrats who are out and out t*****rs. So we made a baby step forward and if we KEEP TRYING , next time we can cut down some more Democrats OR PRIMARY the RINOS and put some fear of God in them. Either way it is an advancement.
I have lived my life on the principle that Quitters Never Win and Winners Never Quit! It seems to me you need a bit of that old fashioned logic to help you along.
What can you do? Get ACTIVE! Go to meetings, speak in front of your City Council, your County Reps, your School Board, or whichever administrative or legislative body has something on the docket that you either support or do not support. BE HEARD! Participate in the leg work, research, debate of an issue, march or wave f**gs or print off bulletins, but DO SOMETHING. The squeaky wheel gets the grease!
If you don't speak well in front of people, WRITE SPEECHES for those who do. You are articulate and write well, use your gifts to assist wherever and however you can.
One of the groups I am active in is currently preparing for the PRELIMINARIES. We are VETTING the supposed candidates with research on their points of view on a variety of subjects. Each member has been assigned a candidate and concentrates on that candidate to give a short report at the next meeting. The subject may change such as Immigration one week, Common Core another week, Gun Control another week, etc. Each of us keeps his candidate throughout the series, but writes a short report which goes online to the other members and is delivered at the next meeting. Last week I reported on Bobby Jindal's position on Common Core. Next meeting I will report on his position on Immigration, and so forth. At the end we will chart the responses and give a point system for each strength or weakness and pass out our findings to many other prospective v**ers. Obviously we are taking steps to educate people, Republican or Democrat. That is just one thing I do. Take it as an example. Get active and you'd be surprised how many people appreciate being better informed. Most don't know diddly-squat.
