Why Pres and Congress can't "get it right"

Since this nation decided to keep silent as we began to murder the unborn, and since this nation decided to maintain its right to remain silent as the Homosexual lobby continued to break the laws against Sodomy, as it ramped up its challenge to those same laws as somehow "Unconstitutional" - God is taking a hand.

When a nation gets God's attention in judgment, the first thing that goes is that nations ability to judge righteously. Look at all the bad judgment calls made in our courts in the last thirty years; Sodomy laws overturned, homosexuality now made the rule of the day; Abortion made glamorous; crimes against children bring slap-on-wrist punishments; stupid and silly court decisions.

So, judgment in this country has left. What usually follows? Well, usually the evil come out of their rat-holes and run for office to "help" speed things along. I think this is where we are right now.

Can anything be done to stop this trend? Well, folks, that is the problem. Something can be done, but most will not want to do it. Why? Because it requires admitting we were and are wrong. It requires repenting (look it up) and acknowledging our stupidity, and rebellion against a God many no longer believe in. (Atheists and Agnostics are not required to respond)(Neither are Abortionists and Homosexuals)(In fact, even I am not required to post as I am not exactly innocent, as I did not stand in the streets and challenge this either.

It is past time to begin, but perhaps God will be merciful in his judgment, which can only read "Guilty as charged."

When the two were praying, one said "God, be merciful to me, the sinner." He did not say "a" sinner, as recorded in the gospels. That simply conveys the idea, "Hey, we are all sinners, of whom I am only one small part." No, the man acknowledged that between Himself and God, God is the judge of all, and "I, the man am THE sinner of the two.

Perhaps, if we all acknowledge our sins before God the judge, we can appeal to God the Merciful, to forgive, raise us up above our old silent, recalcitrant rhetorical believers, and give us another opportunity to regain this God blessed and wonderful country; before it is totally destroyed by haters and unbelievers.

Can we join in prayer and belief and turning this country back into a faithful and loving servant of God? Don't you consider that it is at least worth a try?

God, be Merciful to me the sinner.

I am a believer too. However, I am not God.
I cannot say that if a person is gay it is an offense to God. Only to some limited thinking men. GOD IS LOVE and I was blessed to be Heterosexual, I do not know the pain of those who have to hide their differences, but I can imagine, and I cannot judge or condemn. As long as they love and don’t harm anyone they too are Gods Children, bless them for finding their path.
It is greed and selfishness that has destroyed us not those who were born different then us. Judgment has not helped any at all.
