I don't know where you people get your information from, but it is totally bogus. The SCOTUS has on a number of occasions said that a natural born citizen is a person that in born within the boundaries of this country by TWO parents of US citizenship. By the way, that does leave McCain out along with a few others that are thinking of running. While McCain is a citizen, he is NOT a natural born citizen regardless of what Congress says.

A person born to two U.S. citizens on military or diplomatic assignment in a foreign country is a natural born citizen. McCain fits that description and it has been upheld by the court.

The constitution does not say TWO parents anywhre in article 2, so any interpretation may be called unconstitutional, especially since so much of that discussion is based on the writings of vattel ,a non-citizen

My wife was born to a n officer in the U.S. airforce that was stationed in Italy. She was born off base, and her mother was not a U.S. citizen at the time. According to our current law, she is a naturalized citizen and eligible to run for president.

According to what you wrote, Ted Cruz would not be eligible.
