Yadja, thanks for showing up, how do we get John Q to get off his butt and do what you suggest? ;-)

I believe it has to start small. I live in a small town and even the closest city is small. We have a lot of groups who have town meetings once a month or before an e******n etc. to discuss how to get their wants and needs over to their representatives.

They go on the local Radio Talk Show, Bob Rose he is nationally syndicated and they let people know what the issues are that need addressing and invite them to come to the meetings. The meetings are held in church halls, sometimes on college campuses or at hotel meeting rooms. It is a ground movement. Also we have a Republican meeting hall in town and people gather there.

We turn to our District Representatives to go to the big guys for us. We use our Congressmen to the max and they are always coming to meetings and Town Halls and groups. It has to start in the neighborhoods and it has to be good speakers and those who see the big picture to pull people into the fold.

Hitting out here on they have to do something to stop the i******s because of the burden on our schools for instance. Our taxes will go up. Then we address the jobs that will be taken because these people have no education and they will take the jobs away from us. We also hit upon you do know they will be getting Food Stamps also which will take the money available to you go down. And it has already. Many have gotten letters saying their allowance is going down because too many applicants.

When you take into consideration the populace, like here it is farmers and ranchers then you have an idea what your platform is. But you also have to keep up with what is going down in Washington and with the Congress.

It is a profoundly complicated process that has to be constantly changing and going with the flow of the populace in your area.

I get it Yadja, let us know how it is working and any other help with the odd tidbits that might help. I am 72 with bad feet so walking around the neighborhoods is difficult. I am zeroing in on people in the area who can get things moving. My Congressional Representative and my Senators have heard from me numerous times, I always check the box to get a reply but they don't. Maybe they don't like my questions. I hope others get involved with this thread because it doesn't have to be just one subject, or maybe they are people who shout "hangem high" and then just go back to sleep, lots of them around! My aim here was to get a good dialog going to exchange information on a myriad of subjects.
For instance I read in one of the conservative blogs that some Muslim who is in a race relations group here in the States supposedly working for understanding between Muslims and Christians. Apparently his guy was appalled that three young Muslims would be taken out by some guy in Chapel Hill NC. He feels that a large portion of our population is coming down on the Muslims and fears more attacks. Well he should fear attacks against the Muslims, since America did not become great by sitting back and letting animals slaughter us! He of course speaks of the large percentage of peaceful Muslims who don't hurt anyone. O.K., who are these peaceful Muslims, where are they, what are they doing to get the bad guys put in prison or k**led? Words are useful in some things but not in this case. The Muslims live together, one reason for them not to be here. They shop in the same places and go to the same Mosques as the bad guys and they know who the bad guys are. They must call the Police or better yet the FBI on them because we infidels don't know who they are and we cannot tell them apart. I guess that if you really want to become an American, then you don't have to live in a community of only Muslims, you are just asking to be blown away when a group of Red Necks has "had enough".

Keep at your District representatives you are still young and if computer onboard you can accomplish much.

As to Islam we have a serious problem in this country and I am in full agreement with many O is undoubtedly a Muslim. His response at the Prayer Breakfast was straight out of the Muslim book of how to combat any complaints or thoughts on Islam that expose what they really are. Go to the CAIR site on the net and see what they do and what they recommend for Muslims entering this country.

No they don't mesh they don't intend to. I lived in Europe and I saw with my own eyes the No Go Zones in France. I also saw with my own eyes the Muslims attempt to bring down the Eiffel Tower New Year Day 2004. I was there. So Europe is waking too late to it's problem but America is still asleep.

I thank you for asking me to join, I am in heated discussions right now with someone attempting to say Christianity as bad as Islam. It infuriates me again O's words. Same argument I get all the time but they fail to see it happened and has not happened since.

I am enjoying fighting the good fight here and I will be back over here again. Keep the faith we are strong together. Divided we surely will fall.

You're cool Yadja and your experience level is amazing. I was working a weekend in a parking lot in old town Barcelona on 9/11 and I watched the horror all day long. I walked home at twilight and witnessed the Pakistani shop keepers celebrating. Glad I didn't have a gun because it would have proved nothing. Since that time I do not frequent any businesses or allow service from any Muslim male or female, damned if I will support them.

Thank you my friend but I believe it is you who are cool.

I was in Okinawa during the Snake Dances and the C*******t Car burnings. I was sitting on top of the Enlisted Club watching. The night before I was playing the slots all over and even went to the Red District without fear, never knowing we were on Red Alert.

I was in Spain when it was a Military State and there were guards on every corner of every street in every town with ammo belts over their shoulders and carrying high powered weapons, when they said Halto you did or they shot you. Stupid Americans were shot. Navy guys, drunk.

I was in Paris when the terrorists tried to bring down the Eiffel Tower in 2004, I went to my favorite restaurant came back and saw the entire fiasco.

You are experiencing up close and personal events you will tell your children about as my people told me of theirs.

Your wise beyond your years but then troubled times does that to those who are in the midst of them.

I was in Spain during the Franco regime and afterwards also, in fact I was there right after the first free e******ns. Madrid was wall papered with political signs, cost them a million dollars to clean it up. Didn't stop me from visiting the Prado Art museum though. My favorite has always been Goya but the majority of the works there look like they can talk to you!
I really hope that somebody chimes in with their views, or maybe we have solved all of the World's problems in 8 or 10 posts??

Would be fun if someone joined in and we could keep it going but sometimes the less said the better.

When I went to the Louvre' in Paris I loved the Masters life size paintings. They were magnificent and I was not impressed with the Mona Lisa, small ,dark and strange little painting.
