Bill Maher had a field day with both Sarah Palin and her Republican critics. “Now that many Republicans have come forward in the last week to finally admit that, ‘okay, you were right, Sarah Palin is a crazy person, they have to ask themselves, ‘What else might I have been completely wrong about all these years?’ In case you missed it, Palin made a speech in Iowa a couple of weeks ago that cryptologists are still working on,” Maher explained on his show Real Time with Bill Maher.
Bill Maher went on to play clips of Sarah Palin’s incoherent content and delivery of her speech. It is the speech that finally had many Republicans throwing her under the bus. He compared it to being on cocaine.

“The pundits that always defended her have officially had enough,” Bill Maher said. “It was as if the scales fell from their eyes and they were finally able to admit 'The emperor has no clues.' They called her speech incoherent, a farce, unseemly, words that might have truly stung Sarah if she knew what they meant.”

Maher went on to enumerate past defenders that had harsh words for her. Matt Lewis who wrote an adoring book about Sarah Palin wrote a piece titled "You Betcha I Was Wrong About Sarah Palin." Bill O’Reilly compared her to a reality show. Sean Hannity asked if her teleprompter went down. The Washington Examiner questioned whether Palin should be included in future Republican events.

“I only have one question for Republicans,” Bill Maher said. “What took you so long? The rest of us have been watching this dog eat grass for seven years.”

At last, now that Republicans have admitted to an error Bill Maher wants them to reconsider other Republican tenets. “Now that you know you can do this, what about writing a column called ‘You Betcha I was wrong about c*****e c****e.’ … It might feel good.” He extrapolated it to immigration and Middle East wars.

But most importantly he had a zinger on trickle-down economics. “And what about the great granddaddy of zombie lies, trickle-down economics,” Bill Maher asked. “Can’t we throw that one under the bus too? It’s never worked and it never will work for good reason. Because it is like having three dogs and giving a wiener to one of them and thinking, ‘He will share it with the others.’”

Anyone who thinks Bill Maher was being too harsh on Sarah Palin must remember the bile that she spilled during the 2008 e******ns and beyond. She has been one of the leaders spilling venom into our body politic. What must she think now that her own have turned against her?

How about providing a link to this speech? What you've posted is nothing but hearsay.

How do liberals manage to live with all of their jealousy? Secretly, they all wish they were Conservatives, but they know they can never be. On some fundamental level, they are broken. And they know it. Thus the jealousy. Poor bastards.

You have already slammed your mind shut and labeled it as "hearsay." The article was an opinion piece that is based on the fact that Palin made a nutty speech. The opinion of the writer of the article is opinion, the fact that Palin made the speech is fact. See the difference? You don't need any link or anything else to come to the conclusion you have already come to.

This comment was lacking any examples, evidence, rationale or common sense and it was silly. Other than that, it was right on target and very thoughtful.

Having not seen the video in question, I cannot make any conclusions. You really expect me to take your word for it, or some l*****t journalists opinion? My world operates on facts. I would have to see this video for myself.

You don't seem to understand the difference between fact an opinion. The crazy Palin speech was fact and the Maher's opinion was his opinion. You seemed to overlook the fact and the point of the article and went straight for a mindless attack on the person expressing his opinion. Troubleshooter, You shot yourself in the foot.

You sated your conclusions about it and you haven't seen it? I really don't have high expectations for you and your mental functioning, but I noticed that you completely ignored the actual opinion expressed and went directly to personal attack. You are silly.

I would not doubt she had a bad day and possibly an incoherent speech. Seems this has happened to most politicians under stress and going for hours and days with lack of sleep. What I find interesting is that this is an occasion. Joe Biden, John Kerry, the little black race baiter guy, can't think of his name, funny hair, think he calls himself a reverend, not Charlie Wrangle, um man he even had his own show, owes 4.5 million in back taxes, what is his name ? You know who I'm thinking of. My point is this rambling incoherent speech is regular business for the folks I mentioned, but it does not make big news and not too many comedy shows because it is so frightening. I apologize for not remembering the guys name. You know, he was one of those who went to Ferguson to try and crucify the innocent cop.

You were able to respond to the opinion article without mentioning or citing anything with which your agreed or disagreed, you merely tried to unfairly attack people on other issues. Completely ignored the content of the article and used it to attack some of the usual targets. You are either unable to think or you are studiously avoiding doing any.

Well. I watched it, and I can see why liberals h**ed it. She told the t***h. In any event, I would compare her speech favorably to any speech Obummer has made.

I would never use Bill Maher's opinions or anyone,s opinions as a factually credible source. Only an extremist or a dummy (Sorry I am repeating myself) would do that or could conceive of anyone else doing so. The point of the article is Sarah gave another speech that was pure gibberish and that simple person almost became the emergency back up to crazy John. Think about that. Unless you people have a different language, the Mahler gave his opinion and it is his opinion that I happen to agree with. Note: Bill's opinion and my agreeing with it does not make it factual. A thousand opinions do not make a fact. However, they do make factoids.
