Everything is a gift

1 Corinthians 4:7

"For who maketh thee differ one from another? And what hast thou that thou didst not receive? Now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

For everything we have we have received from Him. He tells us in Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you...." You may take credit for what you can do, for the many things you have learned, also for your worldly possessions, but be sure you include that the blessing and ability you have is of the Lord. Always give credit where credit is due.

Never waste His gifts. The good deeds we do, are because He placed compassion within our heart. Kind words that we speak to others, is because He blessed us with thoughtfulness. The intelligence we display in accomplishing things, comes from His blessings. You use that gift of intelligence to learn many things in life, the best thing you can learn is that all of it is a gift from our Holy Father.

Lastly, just because you have been so blessed, do not sit on your laurels - continue to grow. Look to 1 Peter 1:5-8 for a guide that you should follow to build on and to grow your faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, kindness, and charity. As you put forth effort to improve these qualities, they will bear fruit in you and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 Amen. It is such a blessing when we realize everything we have is a gift from God. Every sk**l, every ability, any job or career, the people He puts in our life, every penny, all material things, any good in our hearts. As we realize this and acknowledge this regularly we are filled with gratitude. God is good. Thank you Beark

Because our Creator set up a DNA system that has infinite possibilities, no 2 organisms in Life are exactly alike ('Identical twins' are not identical because when the zygote splits, the mitochondrial DNA can not be apportioned equally). It is like everyone gets a different set of cards but we only get a feeling for what Talents and Weaknesses are on each face card. Since some get great cards and other poorer cards, but no one knows exactly what they have--the final best winner is the one that tries hardest throughout Life to discern the best plays for himself and has his highest score at the end. Like the runner, the most important part is the finish. This is why we can't Judge one person against another.

I said in the above why each living organism is unique and never to be repeated because of the infinite possibilities of DNA. Are all non-living entities unique as well? If it is true that no two snowflakes were made exactly alike, then probably everything is a unique, never to be repeated entity. Think of grains of sand--since they also are crystalline (like snowflakes),old or new, stepped on or not, rolled in the Ocean or not, on the surface or buried etc.--are any alike ?

And, I feel the Lord gives each of us an assignment (the talent from Matthew). When we discover that assignment, and work at it, we not only excel, but we feel more fulfilled.

We can never find real peace until we seek and find the Lords purpose for our lives. Once we do it is a joy that surpasses all understanding.

That is being complete in the best sense of the word. Just as having the right mate.
