This video is impressive for many reasons, even if you’re not a car guy!
How do you shoot this video in San Francisco with so few people in sight?
How much does it cost to buy the Bay Bridge???----$

Unbelievable -- Wild Ride in San Francisco
652 hp Ford Focus.
It's a Ford promo driven by one of the best drivers ever for this type of racing.
I can't imagine what it cost for this commercial
when you see how much of the city was shut down for this,
all the cameras and the staging -

Do you remember the chase scene in 'Bullit', with Steve McQueen (1968):?:

Who doesn't if you were older than 12 at the time? That was considered the wildest action sequence ever. If only Steve McQueen were around to see what's going on now.

McQueen is one of my favorites of all-time :!: I watched him first, I believe, in 'Wanted, Dead or Alilve'...unless his role in 'The Blob' came earlier. The movie came out in 1958, as did the series. I am not sure which I saw first. 8-)

The first I remember is The Blob. Scroll down to see a list of credits. He did a lot I'd forgotten about.

I had the honor and privilege of driving him down to Camp Pendleton for one of our yearly Rodeo events one year. He is one hell of a guy and I was really sorry to hear of his passing. I was one of his big fans and would have k**led to get the chance to drive him down there. I also saw every one of his movies at least once and many twice or more. Not so with his TV stuff.

By the way, when they film a car chase and it covers a lot of the city, you can believe that it is broken up into a lot of small segments and not filmed all at once. Normally that do it early Sunday morning when the city is still sleeping anyway. Everything else is done in the edit room.

Well, upon research, I found that the TV series started in the Fall of 1958, so it is likely I saw 'The Blob' first, earlier in the year, but not positive. Other favorites of mine he did were 'The Great Escape', 'Tom Horn', and 'The Thomas Crown Affair'.

Yeah, it was an illuminating and scenic traverse. The only bad things were those pesky speed limits but, fortunately, there were no gendarmes around at the time. The sad part was the old 8 cyl. wanting to stop at every other gas station.

Yeah, three blocks a gallon can be costly. But, we were 'styling' in your caddie :!:

And, the ladies seemed to be enthralled with our style. 8-)

Yes, they were that weren't they. I was just happy to have your left-overs. After seeing me, they all jumped over to you.
