Hello and thank you for all the good info on this site. I know this country started its decline many years ago but it has never been as blatant as what is happening now and I am greatly concerned for the future of our children and future generations. I have shared my views many times with many people but I am either preaching to the choir or I am talking to deaf ears.

what america is facing is not pretty. many people have lost respect for this country for reasons that are clearly clouded by recent events overseas but the main reason is the conversion from parents telling children what to do to visa versa which happened some 50 years ago (the summer of love) and now these children of the 60's have spawned generation after generation of children who will always remain children from the womb to the tomb. we even have a child in office. to fix this will not be pretty.

I believe the decline started before the 60's but that madness definitely escalated the process. You're right - fixing this will not be pretty, nor will it be easy.

Welcome to our little world here on 1PP, msbee. You came to the right place. We have some super people here, with great ideas, and with varying degrees of knowledge. Unfortunately, we also have those whose em to be solely to distract people's thoughts and to impede the progression of conservative threads. I WOULD advise you merely ignore the "trolls" from the left..........but I don't ignore them, so I don't expect others to either. :lol: :roll: :lol:

Thank you Tasine. This has been a great country and still is, for the most part. But the progressive movement is k*****g it. I know they are not all card carrying c*******ts, so why do they go along? It is the future of their children and grandchildren too. It boggles my mind. msbee

No, they aren't all card carrying c*******ts, but the mindset is the same nevertheless, and their policies would be identical to the c*******t platform. As a matter of fact, we do have quite a few socialists in our government. I assume you know that the thinking and probable policies would be essentially the same were the writers/politiciasn democrats, socialists, or c*******ts because the basic mindsets seem to be practically identical - touting benefits for the downtrodden, while taking advantage of ALL citizens, including the downtrodden - all actions to benefit the "leaders". Essentially what we have in the USA today in my view. In my view we are but a stone's throw from a dictatorship now.

I have known many democrats and they were nice people with whom a decent political conversation was possible. They even had some good ideas. But they weren't as progressive as the Dems today and I didn't think of them as c*******ts or even socialists. Could it be that the infiltration of the schools has done its job and produced whole new mind sets? It would seem so, I am sorry to say.

Every one of my relatives was a democrat, all honorable and honest people, also good and kind. But that was then. Now is NOW and as different from THEN as snow is from coal dust. Back in the 30's the C*******ts KNEW that they had to infiltrate areas where they would have the best chance to change hearts and minds: schools, media, politics, unions, to name the most obvious. They knew if they could affect children's minds before their characters were set, they were home free. I believe it is said that character is set in people by the age of 12. The o*******w of the American mind could not have happened had not people been too embarrassed to challenge things, could not have happened had people not been drawn into political correctness, could not have happened if people had educated themselves and stayed abreast of our own government's actions.

Tasine, you have said it all and I couldn't agree more! This is NOW, but NOW has been in the process for a long time. However, I don't think people were too embarrassed to challenge things; I think they were too busy trying to make a life for themselves to pay attention to what was happening. I saw that back in the 60's while knocking on doors to "get out the v**e". People didn't even know who the candidates were. Political correctness is part of the agenda today. And I definitely believe that the formative years happen before age 12.

I think we are on the same wavelink but I don't want to impose on you. I know you are busy. I have read many of your posts and I think you are one of the more knowledgeable posters on this site. Do you post on any other sites?

You're too kind, msbee, but I thank you. I comment on several sites and am part owner of http://no-ruler.net/, which you are more than welcome to visit, read, comment, and post articles on. My partner set it up some while back and he does most of the work on it, but I have a few articles on it, some of which I wrote from scratch. He and I are into individual freedoms and lean toward anarch mentality, simply meaning that individuals are perfectly capable of managing their own lives without government interfering - governments should be in place to manage the affairs of the nation and should stay out of individuals' business.
